Had a previous good experience at this shop so I recommended them. The customer called to get a set of tires and was the only he had to order them and they would be ready on a Monday morning at nine. Carlos helped us quickly replace a damaged flat tire we received outside Alamosa. They quickly evaluated the damages, recommended replacement due to safety and had the needed tire in-stock. Blew a tire right by Reed tire.. we went in and the guy at the register was very dry and rude. We were two Hispanic woman who walked and bought a brand new tire and was treated like we were there for a handout. Just felt very uncomfortable here. The guy who actually changed the tire was very nice to us. Please think twice if you're heading here. I'm sure there are better places to get tires. read more

Reed Tire has been a local family owned business for decades and they were a great company up until some recent management changes. Every new tire I've bought for the last 15 years came from Reeds. When they lost long time manager, Mitch, and Brad let Caleb take over most management responsibilities at the La Jara store, the customer service left with Mitch. They can no longer be trusted. If a woman goes in by themselves they will fully be taken advantage of. My wife took her car in for an alignment and they told her it needed a bunch of suspension components replaced and that they could do the job for her. What they didn't know is that I'm a professional mechanic and had just replaced some suspension components, hence the reason for taking the car for an alignment. I had also checked the rest of the suspension and all seemed to be in great shape. I thought I may have overlooked something so I went through and checked the suspension system again and found nothing wrong. We ended up just taking it to Town and Country Chrysler for the alignment and they had it done in about 20 minutes. They found nothing wrong with the suspension and the car has driven perfectly since then. They told me they have had several people come in for alignments with similar stories from Reeds. I told the manager at Reeds this story, with Brad standing right there, and they wouldn't refund the money for the first 2 alignments they botched. A few months later my wife took in a flat tire for repair off my new Platinum edition Superduty. I was mortified to find a huge scrape mark across the face of the wheel when she returned with it. Once again Reeds wouldn't even address what happened so now I have to pay the $700 for a new wheel myself or just live with the damage. Recently my wife had a flat repaired on her car and asked me when Reeds started charging so much when she got home. I told her they didn't charge that as far as I knew. They charged her $36 for a flat repair and then didn't even put the valve stem cap back on. When I called to ask why she was charged so much I was told it must've been for 2 flat repairs, but it most definitely was only for one flat. At this point we have decided to find someone else that can meet our tire needs, which looks like will be right next door at Everything Auto. They have excellent customer service. read more

We had a bad tire while traveling through Colorado. We actually drove an extra 40 miles out of the way to pick up a new tire for our corvette.
