I only took my car here a couple of times (because it only needed to be serviced a couple of times…read morewhen in Vermont - not because I took it anywhere else while in VT), and was completely satisfied with the service. It was recommended to me as a good place to take Volvos; always appreciating going to a mechanic that specializes in Volvos, I felt good taking my car there. The first time I took my car there was what really made me trust them. I had to get it towed to them from a bit of a distance, and I ended up being slightly late and knew I wouldn't be able to get there before they closed, but I had been calling them throughout the afternoon and they said "no worries", and someone stuck around to help me when I got there (and managed to fix the problem in about 5 minutes and send me on my way, which was awesome). The second time I took my car there was for some general maintenance, and while it was a bit of time ago (thus, I do not remember all of the details), I don't remember being appalled by the cost, or feeling like the repairs took an unreasonable amount of time. I'm not giving them four stars because I actively think that they don't deserve five - I just didn't take my car there enough to feel qualified to evaluate if it really is five star service. Still a place that I trust, though.

I've read some reviews about him and how he's "rude". maybe.. if you're thin skinned and can't deal with his raw, unfiltered style. I personally found it refreshing to speak to someone and know exactly what they're thinking.

A couple of months ago I was about to conclude a transaction at the cash register when another customer walked up behind me, engaged in conversation with Mike and they left the room together, leaving me waiting for Mike to return. After some minutes I left the store. Today I brought in a lawnmower part that needed 5 minutes of attention and would include the sale of a new drive belt. Mike told me that I was a jerk for having left the last time I was there and therefore wouldn't be ready until sometime tomorrow. Asking for my part back, I told him I would not be returning. He hurled insults at me as I walked out the door. It's sad to see what this business has become. It is without any inventory of new equipment and is a dealer for no brand. Given Mike's extremely unpleasant behavior, there's just no reason to do business there, and plenty of reason not to.

They'd been an awful mess, one covered in rust, and the other had been ground up pretty badly from a caliper that had seized up. It's a small place, but they have the basics. I would call ahead to make sure they have what you need, just in case.

Counter guy had a wicked crappy attitude.Rude. Seemed as if I was bothering him. Told me my truck only has 2 bulbs per side. So after a few more back & forth comments, I told him I am going somewhere else. What has happened to customer service? So beware of the shuffling, grumpy, "I don't want to be bothered" short dude with the attitude. I might go back there. But no way in hell will I deal with that guy.
