On Fridays, there's nothing better than grabbing a big tub of Ethiopian stew atop injera from Redtent. It's usually located in the middle of the cluster of food stands that pop up from 11 - 3 pm on the waterfront (typically across from the Peruvian place and adjacent to the Argentine grill).
For £5, you can pick from three vegetarian stews, and three meat stews, but most people seem to go for a mix of all six. You'll be asked to choose between injera or rice, and also whether you want "some spicy?"
The only correct answers are 1) "Injera" and 2) "Yes, spicy please." I would say the pickles aren't exactly hot, but they do have an intense tartness that helps to cut the fat of the stews (similar to Indian achar pickles).
