The Beetle had 330K on it when he helped me sell it and it was still running like a dream. I went to Easy Street because my AC was having some minor issues...working fine but getting tired with long term use. They told me they would have a look- then came back to me with a bill for almost $300. I was alarmed because they hadn't even told me what the issue was or what needed to be fixed. When I expressed this to them they said - well you didn't ask! I understand that car repairs can be expensive, but I was sitting right in the waiting room, so they could have easily communicated this to me. Instead they just recharged my AC and charged me an arm and a leg for it, then the problem persisted just as it did before! Complete waste of money. To top it off the owner was extremely rude. I will certainly never give my business to them again and maybe this post will save others a headache and some money. Btw- the only reason they have higher ratings on google is because the owner attempts to shame negative viewers in his reply, so many get deleted. In response to my review he lied completely, but I will not delete my review because my experience was sincerely very poor.

It's rare to find a shop this responsive, especially last-minute, and with such great service. If you need any mechanical work done--whether you're local or just passing through--I couldn't recommend Empire Automotive more.

I met Mr. Roland maybe six years ago before I purchased a truck from a dealership near his shop. I…read morewanted to have the truck checked out before I purchased it, and the auto dealer recommended Roland. I thought maybe that was a conflict of interest and wanted to take it to my own mechanic. My mechanic was backed up and couldn't get away, so I reluctantly took the truck to Mr. Roland, and I was beyond satisfied with his expertise, service, and kindness. He drove the truck and turned the steering wheel a few times while driving straight and explained why he did that. He turned down the radio to listen for any noises that may have been out of the ordinary. He did a few quick stop-and-go checks to check the brakes. He did a hands-on examination and told me that I would eventually need to have a tiny hole in the muffler repaired at some point, but it wasn't major and recommended a shop. He told me the tailgate latch was tricky to open, but showed me how to open it without problems. And he also guaranteed me that he could beat any price in town. With that being said, a year later, my GMC Terrain started stalling and shutting off whenever I would come to a complete stop, which was kind of scary. I took it to Firestone, and they placed it on a machine to diagnose it and quoted $700+ to fix the issue. I then remembered Mr. Roland and went to see him. He called one of his technicians out, and while the car was running, he asked the technician what he thought was wrong? The technician put his ear to my car to listen to it and told Mr. Roland the exact same thing that Firestone had said. That was very impressive considering they did not have to put my car on a machine to diagnose it. Mr. Roland, not knowing what Firestone had quoted me, said it would cost me about $300+ to repair it. They were kind of busy that morning, but he managed to squeeze me in. I went next door to Cracker Barrel for breakfast, made some business calls, played a few games on my phone, and did a little shopping to pass time. Within two hours, my car was ready. I've been back a few times to have my vehicles inspected and/ or repaired. In fact, it's been a while, and I need to have my GMC checked out again, so I'll be calling Mr. Roland.
