One of my children was petrified of the water and wouldn't submerge his head on the first day, and three months later, he was literally swimming across the pool independently. My other child could just barely swim, and by the end of a few months, he could nearly beat his instructor in a swimming race across the pool. Lisa and her staff are incredible. They are dedicated to helping kids learn water safety awareness, building confidence and independence, improving swimming technique and endurance, all while encouraging kids to have fun and truly enjoy the water. We are so grateful to Lisa and her teachers (our boys adored Aidan!) for helping my children learn the important life skill of swimming--something they will take with them for the rest of their lives!

After one session with Gelsi she emerged from the pool so proud that she actually swam. The way that Gelsi broke down her instruction into logical points that clicked with my daughter was much appreciated. Also, the owner, Lisa, is responsive and easy to communicate with. She checked in with us following the first lesson to make sure that we were happy.

ok i've been with this gym for a few months now…read more this is the reason i joined this gym. the kids klub is MILES better than any other kids klub ive seen. a full playground and not just a room with a few random toys in it! staff members that actually seem to like children and aren't just unhappily stuck babysitting! amazing. baby comes first, always the gym always smells good and is always well air conditioned. everything is neat and organized. and i really appreciate that they respect women--there's a separate women's area if women want to go there! the only problem is that it's pretty small for how popular it is, so a lot of the times it's packed the staff is hit or miss. some staff members are 100% on point, definitely know what's up and what's not. some staff members will BS you and just make up stuff. i asked a staff member once to give me a guide on the weight machines and what's generally where, and he was just like, "you can read the things... these machines are not good... let me know if you have questions" just seemed like he didn't even know what was what. the personal trainers seem awesome. i've only spoken with karen, michael, and catherine. they all had a different style, and i'm sure there's a good fit for every type of person out there. with all of them, though, i had a sense that they really cared about me and just wanted to help me with my goals, whatever they were i saw another review giving a 1 star for broken washers. so what? yeah it's true the washers break down. then bring your own towel. imo it's a luxury that we even get towels. haven't you ever been to a gym that doesn't supply you with towels? is it so hard to bring your own? come on man i think it's really neat that they offer valet parking, bc sometimes the parking gets so full, but i do feel bad for the employees just toasting out there in the sun :( they deserve popsicles there is a lot of variety in machines, and not just resistance training, but cardio too. there's this one that's like a never ending hamster wheel (not really), and there's one that's like elliptical + stairmaster, and it's so hard and i hate it but i know it's effective. there's also a million weights downstairs and upstairs. there's bigger amenities like a sauna, basketball court, pickleball court, massage chairs (?! amazing), and a pool that's only open to lessons. i wish the pool had designated free swim times :/ i've tried a few classes, and this is what i have to say about them: - Body Balance: this is NOT easy, and it is NOT relaxing!! it is constant "am i doing this right?" and falling over and the instructor moving from one pose to the next like lightning - Body Attack: this is NOT for all levels! this is high level cardio for one hour! this is exhausting and too hard! - Pilates: I LOVE ALL THE PILATES CLASSES AND INSTRUCTORS THEY ARE WOMEN FOR WOMEN THEY MAKE ME FEEL AWESOME I love this gym, and I love how much they love my son. this rating is wild, and i think it's just bc the "high class" people who come here are so entitled. you will run into the women talking loudly on their phones or the women watching kdramas with no headphones, even when the gym provides headphones. crazy. this gym is awesome

They violated the existing…read morecontract terms with 425 Fitness, and they should honor existing customer contracts in an acquisition, I have been a member for more than 5 years. Denied access with my physical card despite I am fully paid and my contract stated that is the way to enter the facility. Very rude front desk people, they forced downloading their app as condition of entry and accepting their liability terms under duress. Increased the prices, layered undisclosed taxes and fees, pull funds in advance, and only a month later you see the added fees of the prior month are higher than the 2.5% stated. My 425 Fitness contract (still the only document I've ever signed) was transparent: month-to-month price including taxes, no cc fees. They raise prices unilaterally sending emails and the quoted price doesn't match the charges. If you click "contact us" they simply ignore your tickets for weeks and when they respond with dismissive and inaccurate statements. I escalated to my cc and they credited the excess charges in my favor, as Bay Club had no signed authorization to pull the larger monthly amounts and went silent when I asked for a copy of it (of course as they don't have such thing). The gym was filthy when they took over, smelly showers, mold, hair in walls, and equipment broken, pool out of order, sauna out of order, hot water tuning cold mid-shower, water fountain broken, etc. Definitely not worth the ever increasing prices and reduced services. Personnel used to be professional and friendly, not anymore. I canceled and now they are still trying to run my credit card after giving cancelation for their breach of contract.

Good amount of seating for those watching, the pool gores to 15ft deep, there are multiple diving boards, there were a lot of lap swimmers there, must be all pumped up from watching the Olympics...lol. Nice facility, large changing/ showing areas. Just wish they had a large screen TV for those not in the pool since there was a Seahawks game I was trying to watch. I was able to plug my phone in and catch parts on my phone...service was a little shotty. Everyone that worked there was nice, and my son really enjoyed the scuba diving class. It went until 9pm. It's too far out of our way to go just to swim....but if it was closer is definitely take my kids there to swim.

It's a literal shit show on weekends, this is probably my 12th? time that the pool has been shut…read moredown because kids are taking a dump in the pool. 1. The lifeguards don't enforce the rules including shoes everywhere, screaming, diving, rough play, and most important- parents being responsible and the wearing of swim diapers. 2. They are happy to take your $, happy to shut the pool down early when inevitably kids take a dump in the pool. They take zero accountability 3. I've been in dozens of warm therapy pools like this in many countries and this is the ONLY one that allows children under age 12. There are reasons for that: small bodies heat up faster, they go to the bathroom a lot in warm water. Bellevue aquatic again takes no responsibility- they will tell you that it's perfectly safe and it's a multi use pool. These are the same people who will gaslight you that "suit spinners" are dangerous because they might get mold (true if they don't clean them) --- but kids taking a dump in the pool is perfectly fine.

My Grandad lived in Wedgwood, and my parents, my sister, and I lived in Innis Arden. So it was fun coming to swim here because my Grandad lived near the pool (now my sister owns the house) and would come to see me swim. So Wedgwood has always felt like a home-away-from-home pool to swim at for me. The pool deck stands out in my mind from the other SSSL swim team pools because of its smooth texture. Concessions were well run and locker rooms well maintained during swim meets. The amount of grass/sitting room is good for dual swim meets (two teams competing) but could get very crowded for the end of the season events such as Prelims, Northerns, and All Cities. The tiered grassy area made viewing the pool during races comparatively easy, though the edges of the pool were typically lined with spectators so we didn't always see the end/turns of every race. All around fond memories of swimming here both in terms of family and competitive sporting events.

Now. Had someone given us that advice upon moving into NE Seattle, we might have had an opportunity to get into the View Ridge or Wedgwood Swim Clubs when our children were actually interested in being at the pool during the summer. Unfortunately that was not to happen. When we finally did have kids and finally did think to put our names on the wait list for these swim clubs, we were jarred to learn that the wait was a decade or more. I kid you not. Each spring we would get an update from both swim clubs altering us to our status on their wait list and every year we would look at each other and ask why no one gave us advice to get our names on the lists earlier. The lists moved in an excruciatingly slow manner, sometimes opening up fewer than a dozen new slots a year. In 2009, at the absolute height of the economic depression, we were finally notified by the Wedgwood Swim Club that our family was eligible to join and we were given a week to decide if we wanted to plunk down the $1700 it would cost ($1000 for membership and $700 for dues). Talk about being between a rock and a hard place. Spend $1700 that we really didn't have at that point, or lose our slot that we had been waiting on for a decade. Pay now or go back to the end of the line. Ultimately we decided to buck up and join and we really did enjoy that first summer. The weather was great, the kids were still young enough to want to hang out with their parents and, the novelty of belonging to a pool was still fresh. But, by the summer of 2011, our attendance at the pool had dropped precipitously. It took a very long time for summer to actually arrive in 2011 and combined with summer camps and other activities, I estimate that we only used the pool a total of 10 times all summer. That's $70 per swim based upon our $700 dues. Talk about a bad investment! The situation repeated itself in 2012, so when it came time to re-up our membership in 2013, we opted out. Our decade+ long wait to become members was over with a whimper after just four years. Our disappointing run at the Wedgwood Swim Club was not a reflection on the pool or community in any way. It had more to do with crappy summer weather and the fact that our kids were older and interested in other activities by the time we became members. In fact, I only have praise for the Wedgwood Swim Club. First of all, the facility is great. The pool is spacious, clean and warm. The clubhouse can be rented for a low fee for private parties. The locker rooms are clean. The staff, both year round and summer is terrific. The Board of Directors takes their job seriously and is committed to making sure the facility is around for decades to come. Everyone does a great job communicating to the membership. There are BBQ's available for picnicking and there are many community events throughout the summer, from swim meets to pie eating contests. It's really too bad that the Wedgwood pool didn't work out better for my family. Had we known about the wait list and had we become members when our kids were younger, including getting them on the swim team at a young age, we undoubtedly would have gotten more out of the pool. Pro Tip: The Wedgwood Swim Club offers swimming lessons to members and non-members alike throughout the summer. It's a great option for anyone who lives in NE Seattle.
