They are quite busy most of the time and I think that's a good sign, obviously they are not lacking customers . While not the biggest shop around, they have a good selection of parts, accessories and gear and whatever is not available in the shop they can bring it on order too. Even when I have had a new bike I preferred to have them do the regular service and maintenance rather than the dealer I've bought the bike from, I think that says is all.

Since new in 2014 I've had a little Piaggio liberty that i took great care of. With 11k on the…read moreclock it was probably the best example of this bike in the country. A few weeks ago the engine shut off. When I checked i found and there was no spark and the stator needed replacing. Because i had building work going on and had nowhere to work on it i gave it to Mega bikes. I asked them to replace cdi, stator and ignition switch to make all the electrics as new. I wish i hadn't done that. When i went to collect the bike the steering lock no longer works, i cant open the front storage, paint is all scraped off the front panel, theres a dent in the saddle and worst of all theres now a loud screeching sound from the engine bearing thats actually louder then the exhaust sound. They've destroyed my bike. When i brought this to there attention they claimed it was like this when it came in - which is not true. Claimed it was probably kept outside and what did i expect. And looked me in the face and said "Whats your problem it's running". Amazing, i have gone from a purring low milage engine to whats effectively a right off and been charged 350 euro for the privilege. Now when checking reviews you might wonder if i making this up, but why would i. why would i do that. Yes I'm angry but thats because they destroyed my bike. They didn't mean to - but they did. Maybe other mechanics in Dublin are no better i cant speak for that but i can at least warn people of my experience with Megabikes, Wexford St. Be very careful .....

Ok well if I was looking for a Japanese bike. The main selection of bikes are of the Yamaha, Honda, and Suzuki variety, now I don't know enough to discuss merits of these bikes versus the all-American Harley Davidson, but what I can tell is they have lots of shiny new bikes just waiting for you to buy them. They've also gots all kinds of gear in the shop from helmets to suits to keep you warm during those long rides on the open road.
Franklin Motorcycles

Franklin Motorcycles are Ireland's only Indian Motorcycle dealer but you'd be hard pressed to see…read moreanymore than a handful of Indian Motorcycles on their showroom floor. They now specialise in selling off brand second hand bikes and resort to underhanded sales tactics. There is no accountability for anything leaving this shop due their high staff turnover, 6 mechanics in 2 years. The owner does not know anything about bikes, nor is he a biker and will deny any responsibility if something goes wrong. Making a quick Euro on a sale is more important to these guys than retaining customer loyalty and building relationships. I bought a motorcycle from here in December 2022 and when I got home found there was a large hole in one of the mufflers. Granted it was an old bike and overall it was in what I thought was impeccable condition and I paid at the higher end of the scale for it. The owner denied the hole was there when it left the shop ! But still replaced the mufflers with noisy aftermarket replacements as a "good will gesture". The current shop mechanic admitted to me that the rusty hole wasn't new which I have on camera. The mechanic who originally worked on the bike has since left. The owner then threatened me with his solicitor if I posted anything on social media about this and blocked me on Facebook so I couldn't review them there. To top it off the bike wasn't serviced as I was told it was. There was no coolant in the expansion tank, likely because it also had two holes in it, meaning there was no coolant being circulated for a liquid cooled bike !. The oil was old and had to be changed as was the air filter. This cost me several hundred in consumables and parts just to get the bike road worthy. No doubt the owner will reply with a well calculated ream of lies to this review like he normally does to anyone who leaves a bad review and just deny everything.
Indian dealers.....more like COWBOYS…read more The bike went in for the following work to be done: * Alternator gasket replacement causing oil leak * Fork seals * Brakes and brake fluid * New battery * Front and rear tyres * Carburetor cleaning / balancing When the bike was returned to me over the next number of days I would find: Alternator Gasket not fitted properly Brake fluid constantly leaking from master calendar onto tyres Chrome exhausts damaged by battery acid because the mechanic forgot to fit the breather hose Chrome side cover was ripped off and broken and they glued it back in place with silicone and said nothing. NEVER FITTED ANY BACK BRAKE SHOES. Front tyre is seaping air. Then you have the guy in the shop avoiding you and giving you bullshit excuses on a daily basis. I guess the legal route is the only way now. Guess if you have to do the work yourself because you can't trust these cowboy bike shops to do it properly for you. I will credit the guys on the engine work, it starts and ticks over lovely - but giving the bike back with poor quality work and more damage then avoiding the customer is NOT ON and I am posting here because they have blocked me on Facebook. No apology, no offer to fix the issues, they just blocked me and put their head back in the sand. UNPROFESSIONAL. avoid these people if you value your bike.

I brought it back and they charged me to fix it again. I said I was annoyed and that i assumed that they'd have fixed it for free and that they'd stand over their previous work. But I was told there was a different problem with the headllight and that it was now totally fixed this time. 4 weeks later same fault again. They are either making small fixes that will only last a few weeks so you'll have to come back OR what's more likely is that they don't know what they're doing. I have totally lost faith in this place and i don't think they are technically competent. If you have your motorbike worked on then you need to be confident that the mechanic knows what he is doing. This is not the case here. Steer Clear!

His phone manners was completely inappropriate and beyond rude. The owner was aggressive and argumentative.
