I purchased from one of their auctions through Live Auctioneers and when it was time to ship the item I was turned over to the local UPS store which has ruinous, predatory rates. Obviously, Cornell Galleries is soliciting auction business from far away and encouraging people in other states to bid on their items through the Live Auctioneers system. We have no way to retrieve the items except to have them shipped. With the local shippers, the shipping charge is likely to be more than the cost of your rare, antique item, even if it is small and easy to ship. The profit margin of these shipping stores has now reached the stratosphere. Unfortunately, I can no longer do business with this fine auction house if my only option for shipping is to be raped by the local UPS store. Please consider in-house shipping, and I will be back.
