Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, could have dealt with quieter music couldn't really talk to each other but it was amazing otherwise!

I found myself here on recommendation of a friend, with said friend, actually. It's a solid breakfast spot (for tacos & burritos). It's not much to look at from the street, same on the inside. In fact, parking is kind of a PITA too. But once you make it in and settle in, all is right with the world. The staff is friendly and eager to take your order. Food prep is quick and meals are brought to your table. One sticking point, however, was when I ordered a spicy Bloody Mary. The bartender informed me that the mix was pre-made so she couldn't make it spicy. A bit odd that she couldn't just add some Tabasco or muddle some jalapeño but alas... The food is really good. My breakfast burrito was HUGE, in fact (size and taste). And the tacos my friends had were also raved about. They do things right here. And the prices are reasonable to boot! Came here on a Tuesday nigh with friends. We waited in line outside while we waited to order. Despite the line wrapping around, I was grateful to see that it was a very short line inside. Nevertheless, it still took a while for us to order as the cashier was also the bartender. When my friends who were ahead of me ordered, each paid and then the cashier would make their drinks before taking care of the next customer. It seemed a bit inefficient to me, and meant that my friends who ordered first waited a while before I could join them since I was the last to order. When it was finally my turn, I had the prickly pear cocktail, No. 2 taco which had chorizo, scrambled eggs, sour cream and the X-Mas style crunch wrap which had pork green chile, red chile, Fritos, pico, queso, jack cheese, whipped feta, refried beans, and Dreamweaver sauce. I thought the food were well seasoned and that the Crunchwrap had the perfect crunch-to-soft ratio. The drink was also very good as it was well balanced and tasty. This was my first time coming and I'll definitely be back! There is a small parking lot, so you'll probably end up street parking. I went earlier on a Sunday morning and was able to find street parking easily, but I am assuming parking might be a little harder to find during busier hours. We got there when the line was short but it only got busier! The service was pretty good and staff was friendly. The coffee was good and worth mentioning, I got an iced vanilla latte with oat milk. The breakfast tacos were buss. I tried the #2, #7, and #9. They were all amazing. The chorizo was very good in the #2. The tots were perfectly crispy and nothing was too soggy! First time eating here. Line was short when we arrived but still took awhile to get to the front and order. After ordering it took almost 30 minutes to get our food. Not sure if that is unusual here or not. It did not seem super busy. The food made up for the wait! One of the best burgers I've had- smash burger style, with perfectly crispy edges. Don't let the line out the door deter you. The food is worth every minute of the wait. I am a repeat offender and never gotten something I disliked. Today I tried the hamburger for the first time and wow! The soft bun, fresh toppings and unique combination of toppings really was good review worthy. My husband and I like trying places we haven't eaten based on reviews. We are from the Nashville area and lived here for a long time. The girl at the counter was very nice and helped guide us on the menu since it was our first time eating here. People.....there are sooooo many more Mexican themed restaurants in Nashville that are soooo much better. The margaritas were sad. The food was blah. The first thing I will say is that the place is small so you do have to wait a lot. We came at 2pm and still had to wait in line outside, wait in line inside, and then wait a pretty long time for our food after we'd ordered. Just be prepared. However, the food here is SUPER affordable, the vibes are very laid back and artistic, and the staff is super chatty and sweet. Out of everything, I'd recommend going for the Crunchwraps. Unbelievable. The tacos are good too and I did love the tortillas because they're thick, doughy, and homemade. You literally see the cooks making them. But the tacos were less interesting. Here are my full thoughts: -Xmas Style Crunchwrap: 10/10 - So gooey and cheesy inside, with a lovely crispy layer of cheese on one side of the tortilla. The refried beans are creamy, and the whipped feta just adds a tanginess that takes everything to a whole new level. -Bacon egg and tater tot taco: 7/10 - Good, but didn't wow me. Nothing super special. I liked the texture of the egg with the tots but I felt like it needed more of a kick to it. -Brisket taco: 8/10 - SO flavorful. Literally every bite was a meaty flavor punch. My friend said she had some bites where the brisket was super chewy but I didn't have that problem. -Poblano and whipped feta taco (we added chicken): 7.5/10 - I LOVED the pairing of the feta and the poblano, but the fact that we had to add chicken to get protein was the downside. This is one of my favorite places to eat in Nashville. I hate repeat meals when I'm on vacation, but I can't help but come here multiple times, even on a short trip. The tortillas here are some of the best I've had and their salsas are so unique. The brisket taco is my favorite and I load it up with the curry salsa. I don't think they have anything bad on their menu, and you have to keep an eye out for what they have on special. They also have an AMAZING banana pudding. If you're looking for a flavor bomb and explosion, this place is for you. All of the food I tried here was bursting with so much flavor where it was salty, sweet, spicy, with slight sour kicks. It was just the whole spectrum of flavors in your mouth. I highly recommend if you want just solid flavorful food. My favorite was the crunchwrap because there was the element of the crispy tortilla and the nice warm filling that was well balanced with meat and veggies. It is definitely the upscaled version of Taco Bell's crunchwrap. I don't think I could ever go back to eating Taco Bell's Crunchwrap after tasting this one. The other food items are good and solid but nothing extra ordinary. The only thing I will say is that their tortilla is actually one of the best flour tortillas Ive had. You go in, place your order and they bring your order to your table. Staff members are super friendly and helpful. Menu is not extensive but totally delicious. Get the house pickles! I repeat, GET THE HOUSE PICKLES! The house pickles are a combination of vegetables (I had cauliflower, green beans, red onions) and very tasty. Also, get the queso dip! I mean, where do I even start?! I've driven the four hours from Atlanta to Nashville more than a handful of times just to grab lunch at this place. I've been going here for about five years now, and the quality and taste of the food is exactly the same as the first time I had it. They've nailed the recipes down where no matter what day you go what time what year it's gonna taste the exact same way it did the last time you had it. The food's always fresh, always hot, and always delicious. The fresh tortillas are to die for! The last time I drove up, I ordered six burritos to take back home with me because they're just that good. I need to be able to have back up burritos when the time calls The staff here is always super friendly, super helpful and super polite. I've never had any issues with service or the staff. What a hip taco joint! I have never been to this area in Nashville but found Redheaded Stranger while looking for some murals in the area. You order at the counter when you walk in, take a number and someone brings your food out to you. The inside is funky and fun and there is ample patio dining, which I would have liked better if it hadn't been a 100 degree day, so I sat inside. Lots of sauce options - I tried the green and red and both were great. And the ranch that came with my tots, I think that was the best ranch I've ever had! My food was good - I had the brisket taco with a Dr. Pepper hot sauce and the verde pork. They were both pretty good and I can't say I liked one over the other. Parking was kind of a pain. I really do LOVE this place but i think it's so annoying / wrong that the meatless tacos are significantly smaller than the ones with meat m yet, they're still the same price. I have to pay more to get full when it costs less to make meatless tacos . I come here often and have hopes everytime my taco won't be little but it never fails.
