Absolute Comfort - Checking out the AC

Absolute Comfort

(5 reviews)

Both of my heating units quit working in the middle of the night during 8 degree weather. I was…read moreable to leave a message with the 24 hr emergency line & the friendly receptionist, Josie, called me first thing this morning. She was able to get technicians to my house right away to have my heat restored. The technicians at Absolute Comfort were friendly, knowledgeable & I will definitely be using them in the future. A++++!

We called on a Friday because our AC was making sounds but it was 82 in the house, but 106 outside…read more I called and was told it was $146 for them to come and $120 an hour. The lady said they could come the next day at 0900AM. The guy came didn't say much, my husband asked questions he didn't have any answers. He changed a motor and calibrator in 2 hours. The bills was $1200 (What the biscuits)!!!! We should have went with James Lane again. The parts are under a 1 year warranty. That night the AC said it was 73 which is what we keep it on, but we were sweating in the house, same thing the next night. It has never happened before. I called the number after a few days and a guy answers the phone no hello "Yes". I say is this absolute comfort!?!? He said yes. I tell him the AC is not as cold as it is supposed to be. He said well you need to call back in the early hours and make an appointment, as if I was bothering him. The hours say 24/7. So I am in the process of getting ahold of the early morning crew, so my house can be as cold as it is supposed to be after spending so much money. OK 10 days later they have come back. The lady who works customer service, Megan seems very nice. I told her the issue she said she was going to send someone over. I waited around the time that we discussed and ended up calling to see the status before leaving the house and running errands. The guys came over seem very nice I told him the issue the check inside the house then outside. And explain that the first guy did not put enough refrigerant in the system and that's probably why my house was not getting cool after spending over $1000 the last 10 days. But I got charged another $150 for the refrigerant that I need it. This is one of the most pensive places we have used in Wichita Falls. And we have been here over 10 years. Everybody was very nice and cordial that I dealt with. Can't vouch for the first person who initially came from fix the AC. It's definitely unfortunate since being in the great state of Texas you have to have functional AC units especially if you have children, pets or elderly people live in with you. It is what it is

I called Dalorem have a yearly cleaning done on my AC unit on 6/30/2025. I used them because they…read moredid a warranty repair in October of 24 and provided good service at that call. However, at this time was different, calling and scheduling with Dan was easy and they sent someone that day. When the technician arrived, I explained I still had a home warranty and only needed the cleaning service done. Any repairs will be done through the warranty as I suspected the compressor may be going out. When the cleaning was over The technician said he thought the compressor was also going out and he replaced the capacitor at a fee of $150. To me this was unacceptable since I told him not to replace anything and we would cover it with the warranty. The technician told me to call the warranty company and have them send the paperwork so they could bid the job for the compressor. I called Dan to make sure that they were able to do that and that he could send the estimate over. He told me get to it that day. I called two days(Wednesday) later because the warranty company had still not received the estimate told me he had been on an install job all day and it that night. I contacted the warranty company the following Monday to see if they had heard from them at all. The warranty company said they had not and I asked them to reach out to other technicians they had. I wish they had been upfront and not wanting to do the warranty work and not have wasted a week waiting on them to provide the estimate. I also wish they had not replaced any parts as the recommendation was a brand new unit. So I now have a $150 capacitor that will be trashed with the unit when it's replaced this week.

I had been having HVAC issues for months, and dreaded making the call, expecting to wait days to…read moreget on a schedule, and expecting a fortune out of pocket for a sporadic issue that I could somewhat tolerate. After a full night without A/C, I'm thankful I left a message with Dan at Dalorem Heating and Air! Within minutes, he called me back and told me he could be by to take care of it shortly. Not only was the service quick, but it was EXTREMELY reasonable! Couldn't be more happy with the decision to go with Dalorem Heating and Air! They got a customer for life out of me!!
