This gallery should be an inspiration to all current artists co-operatives. Even-though you may be struggling now and only representing yourselves in your own space someday your modest work could be a multi-million pound sought after establishment. This is just the tale of the Redfern Gallery. The gallery was founded in 1923 at a previous location, but in 1936 moved to is current location on Cork Street. This location is a listed building as it once was the home of John Montague, 4th Earl of Sandwich. Its unique feature among the other galleries on the street is that it has sky lights which brings in lots of natural light illuminating the art work. The gallery represents artists works of paintings, drawings, watercolours, sculptures, and original prints. read more
