The co-founder of this gallery actually works for Charles Saatchi (owner of the Saatchi gallery in Hoxton), so you can imagine the calibre behind this space. That air that you breath in as you walk toward the building is nothing but progressive east london art and artists. This is why it is such a refreshing venue. Back in October I went to see the exhibition, 'Yellow Freight' from what I perceived it was a sort of unpleasant feeling, for instance, Bettina Buck's 'Lamp Cluster'. It was incased light under a architectural structure, with black fringes. Light was trapped and I only wanted to move the fringes to let it out!. An extremely thought provoking exhibition.
As of now I am getting ready, mentally and phisically, to attend their current exhibition 'Oddball-ER'. Just for reference, an oddball is a person who is atypical, something unusual or even bizarre. Exciting! read more
