The manual testing was done wrong, the application of electric stimulation was done by an aide, and the PTA hit start without checking settings, which were wrong, applied manual soft tissue massage as well as when it was done with instruments were done wrong too! I kept hoping they'd get their act together, but never did. Plus they use aides to treat patients, which is not billable with some insurances. But they charge you anyway. Re-Eval never took place either. The only thing I got from this was what not to do in my future practice.

I went here after years of issues with my lower back…read more The bottom line is they are very nice people but when I went in the initial treatment I was given was with a device called a "TENS" unit. It's basically pads they stick to your back and then issue a mild electrical current. This is 60 year old pseudo-science technology that has been widely debunked and after years of research has been concluded to offer *NO* measurable effect in treating pain. It's based on an outdated scientific theory that stimulating other muscles/nerves will send signals to your brain that will distract it from feeling the pain signals. There is absolutely no conclusive or reputable evidence this works. Tests have shown it to have a result equal to a placebo. So as nice as they were, the fact that they would use nonsense junk science to try and treat my pain is a real deterrent that makes me completely distrust them and never want to go back.
