Everyone is nice super chill and down to earth. Now me personally my barber is Brittney. Also known as BrittneyBeast. I've been with Britt for over 7 years she's not just my barber but she's also an amazing friend. She's the homie. Her work is spot on. One of the freshest cuts you will ever have. When I got there, it was a bit of a confusion because Davin was who my grandson supposed to see but ended up with David which I was ok with so long my grandson got the haircut he wanted. Anyways there were about 3 guys working on my grandsons hair. Being that that his hair was super long (about 2 years worth of no hair cutting). They gave my grandson a free design along with razoring his hairlines. He was so happy with the his new haircut. Me (Grandma) sitting and watching could see that they really wanted a good nice haircut for him along with razzing him about keeping his hair because he's a big boy now (14), which btw I always tell him. Hopefully he heard these men telling him the importance of keeping he's hair maintained well. Good advice to me. The place was clean, the vibe was more for young people & teens. What was surprising was they take cash which I was unaware of, good thing there was a ATM close by. These men really care about their customers & the haircut that they put out! Price: men's haircut is listed as 40 but the guy charged me sixty. Said he charges 50 plus 10 for the part. Not a fan of this to begin with. 60 bucks is crazy expensive when I said I want a professional side part. Ie. a regular haircut 30 minute walk in wait wasn't bad but an hour in the chair was insane. Dude took his sweet time. Didn't give me what I asked for. Barely touched the top and shaved a part in when I already made it clear that I don't like that. The part I can live with but the lineup that he did on my temples looks completely out of place on me. I'm not a hip dude. I'm not down with the latest fashion. I'm just a regular guy. I look like I'm going to go play soccer with Christiano Ronaldo when I need to look like I'm about to close a business deal. I'm very pissed. I don't understand and why every barber wants to do a lineup or a fade or a design or something. I just want a regular haircut. I just need to look professional. Also, the equipment was worn out. Razors and scissors tugged on the hair and the dude dug into my scalp with the razor like he was trying to find gold. I'm convinced he spent 20 minutes working the part and 30 lining me up. The actual hair itself barley got any attention. No trim to nothing aside from using a comb and razors to quickly trim the sides down. I don't think I've ever been that pissed about a haircut, feel bad for the guy because I could see it in his face that he knew I was massively disappointed but you have to read your customer and listen when they say,"You're not going to shave the part, are you?". The 5 stars goes to Barber David M. He had his son with him. Not a big deal. That actually told me, that he'd most likely take good care of my sons cut. So i liked seeing that. I was extremely happy & so was my son. His demeanor was everything. Sometimes, it's intimidating to go to a barber shop where all the youngins work because their customer service usually sucks. David, on the other hand, showed a lot of care with my sons cut. He was respectful & made small talk. My son did a burst fade that came out perfect. I don't think I'll ask for anybody else on my next visit. The other workers that were there were very young, you could tell by the way they carried themselves/ professionalism. Now, this last part has nothing to do with David. When I first walked in, there were a guy and 2 young ladies. I walked in and said hi, loudly, as they were towards the back of the studio. Nobody said hi back. Ok, no biggy. The 2 females just glared at me, felt like they were sizing me up. Why? No clue. David started his cut, when the 2 females left. They eyed me out soooooo hard while they approached the exit, I started laughing. The immaturity was laughable. Word of advice to this business owner, one of these days, those girls are going to glare at the wrong person & bad things could happen. I also don't appreciate those 2 vaping in the studio. Definitely not a barbershop for black people. Asked for a BASIC high top fade and a beard lining. Started off by trying to trim my beard, which was a negative. Then came the haircut.
