What an amazing church! I had an opportunity to visit while my son Matt Taylor was baptized.

Theology is on point, they make a difference in the community, and this church is not about cliques or judgment.

We have been attending Sun Valley for many years now. You can be as a connected as you want to be…read more There are plenty of opportunities to get involved. The thing that I appreciate the most is that the pastors talk about real life issues to help us as we go through life. The music played here makes you feel like you are in a concert worshiping God if you like the more traditional music they also have that at the 9 o'clock service in another area . They have Bible studies for couples, women, men, celebrate, recovery, financial, peace, university, and reengaged, along with many others.

I tried to make this short, but there are so many things I love about this church! From the moment…read moreI walked in, others made me feel welcome and like I belonged. My faith has grown exponentially since then and I love the community I've built here. The teachings are Biblical and the worship songs have sound theology, but this church is far from traditional (although there is a traditional service offered at 9am on Sundays). The services will keep you awake and wanting to learn more. Another thing I love about this church are the pastors. Chad Moore is an excellent communicator who truly loves and cares about his church, but more importantly, the people that make up the church. He makes up excellent "catch phrases" that will stick in your head and serve as a reminder of the character of God and His Church. Robert Watson will be your favorite if you're a visual learner. He teaches once or twice a series and is great at using physical illustrations to help you remember the main point of his message. Kyle Glenn is the pastor of the Tempe campus and is always eagerly waiting to greet people on Sunday mornings - whether you're new or have been going there for a few years. Kyle is easily one of the most loving and humble I've met and can put a smile on anyone's face. He's compassionate and always puts the needs of the Church over his own. If you are new to church, or have been hurt by a church, this place is definitely the place for you. It isn't small enough to make you feel like you're constantly under surveillance, but it's not too big to the point where you feel lost or lonely. Once you get plugged into a small group or ministry team, you get the sense of a close-knit community that loves each other and loves Jesus.

The only church I've ever felt comfortable with and truly had anything near an incredibly impactful experience with is my sister's longtime "church of choice" (sorry guys, I'm not a theologian!), Cornerstone. Pastor Linn's sermons have always been impactful and I have gotten so much from them each time I'm in Phoenix visiting and attend church with my baby sister. It's a fun dynamic experience I never knew existing as a lapsed (sorta - went maybe a dozen times growing up) Catholic. And I cannot begin to describe the impact of Cornerstone on my sister - truly has been a life changing experience for her in the most positive sense. As far as the experience, I'm not sure what more anyone could want? Great music, incredibly well executed audio-visual, and pristine, very impressive brand new facilities (great coffee shop and gift shop in Libby - mind boggling when I first saw this place, it was fun to attend a church?!). Pastor Linn was approachable with thousands of attendees; the man remembers who I am whenever I say hello. I live in New York City, but I get to Arizona 6-8+ times annually. He asks about details so well I'm always surprised, special guy. Obviously, highly recommended....indeed I can't recommend Cornerstone enough. Give it a try, I've seen it be a life changing experience! Cheers to all.

We came in "comparing" churches and not really listening to God, at first. We loved Cornerstone. Since then we have now become a family of 5. We love the worship, we love the teachings and all of the various small groups. IF you don't get involved, IF you just sit and watch everyone else, you will stunt your Christian walk. We just celebrated 21 years of being in Arizona, our home AND Cornerstone. We become as active in all of the volunteer activities as we can. We don't love Cornerstone because it is a "Mega" church; we love Cornerstone because it is many churches within a "Mega" church for all ages. Grateful that we listened to God. Just sayin'. :) Cindy, Frank, Heather, Faith & Charlotte Watson

Ok where do I start?…read more...... I learned about New City Church through one of my co-workers. I was actually looking for a "fresh wind" type of worship and fellowship experience as I searched for a new church home. This past Sunday I decided to see what New City was all about. I was absolutely overwhelmed by how welcoming and attentive the members are there. I was sitting at one of the tables near the coffee bar (Yes, there is a coffee bar inside of the church!!!! I know AMAZING right??) and one of the Welcome ministry staff came right over to greet me and even gave me a tour of the church. Instantly, I felt right at home. The worship experience was awesome, lots of praising and teaching in a loving, accepting and inviting environment. The service progression was actually explained so that new members or those that are new to the faith would understand. But there's more..... If you had an interest in the church your questions were answered right on the spot! This church has about a dozen different ministries to choose from, so I'm sure there is a place where you can fit right in! In addition they have an art gallery....yes an art gallery!!! And you thought the coffee was the bonus :) every first and third Friday an event is held to showcase local artists. How cool is that????!!!!! I challenge you if you are looking for a church home or someplace other than your home church to visit New City Church is the place! I had an opportunity at the end of service to go up and meet Pastor Brian. I was so thrilled that I told him he would definitely see me for the rest of the year! So if you read my review and visit the 11:30 am service be sure to say Hi to me!!
