Tyler's fades are always on point, he always provides exceptional service kinda makes you feel like you're part of the shop family. His fades are consistent and has never dissapointed. Whether its regular fade or a complicated design he's got you 100%. I sometimes let him freestyle with the design and I am always amazed at his creativity and precision. Prices are fair, very clean environment and covid safe. Anyone looking to get a cut, I would def. recommend Tyler. Hands down one of the best barbers there. Go check him out! read more

Redemption Barber - Clean cut design by Tyler - Barbers Near Me - Montclair, California

Great customer service! Very welcoming and work well with kids We will definitely be coming back.

The guy I got can't cut medium short hair with clean edges. I had about 5 inches of hair length and he chopped it down to less than one inch. It was too late to stop him after he made the first snip. Can't really blend either, it goes from a 1 to a bushy middle layer. Before coming to this shop, I called ahead and asked if there's someone good at cutting Asian men's hair and the lady said everyone was good, it's simply not true. I'm in My mid-30s and it'll take me awhile to grow that length of hair back. I really hate this place. It's $35 for a cut. read more

Best Barbershop around! I am very happy with their service. My haircut is always on point. I really can't complain whatsoever.

Dont let the sign out front fool you, you are not Royalty here. They are NOT enforcing CDC mask regulations. they take your temp at the door, over half staff without masks and over capacity. these people are making no effort. sad. you can see from outside. didnt even bother going in. they value money and quota, over customer safety and convenience. Also, they always block parking outside. read more

Javi has been my barber for years and he is my go to barber. He is also my son's barber and he always gives us the best fades. He keeps me looking fresh and ready for big business appointments and social engagements. I recommend making an appointment with any barber you choose at this location as they are all high level barbers!! If Javi is not available, Louis, Andrew or Uli are great options. read more

And too add to my review I was told today that these guys have fake Barber licenses... Sheezzzz!!! I think that might need vision checks as well as no skills read more

I've been going to Royal Barbers for about 2 years now. Javier is my go-to barber and he just took over the shop! He is well-deserving of this big opportunity because he not only provides good cuts, but he is excellent in customer service. Under the new management, they have already made cool changes within the shop. The shop looks more updated (aesthetically) and I am sure that it will only get better. I highly recommend making an appointment because they do get packed with walk-ins. read more

I was a regular at this location under it's previous name, Royal Barber. I could count on getting a great haircut with a quality fade. I stopped going because the quality had dipped. I gave them another chance this morning thinking the new name/ownership fixed things, but, no. It's not the worst haircut I've gotten, but I shouldn't be at home looking in the mirror wondering where I should go to get my fade fixed so the right side of my head matches the left side. read more

This review is for the haircuts on my boyfriend! We've been here a few times now, and each time he looks great, and his haircut looks amazing. If they aways have many customers in their shop, you know that they're good! They have an ATM machine since it's cash only. They also sell Coca-Cola in an old school machine, and some snacks in a vending machine. They also sell Suavecito pomade; it's apparently really great, and my boyfriend uses his daily. Yelp has a dollar off coupon if you buy it in their store. Their whole stop is themed to an "old Hollywood glam" with photos of old movies and T.V. shows on their walls, with light bulb vanity mirrors. They even have a shoe shine seat with benches for you to wait in. Usually my boyfriend tries to get his hair done by the lady with the dark hair, she does a fantastic job! Their prices are average, 19 for a cut, 21 for the special. They also offer kids cuts, and beard trims! Anyways, 10/10 haircuts!! Will be back to visit Royal Barbers as their loyal customers, and would recommend this place to anyone in the area. read more

Last time I came here was about 2 years ago when I barley moved to Montclair , I really don't remember who cut my hair then. Today I was in the area and I decided to walk in and get a hair cut because I saw that there wasn't much of a wait. I got my haircut by Richie and it came out great, I i saw that he was really taking his time and really paying attention to detail . My girlfriend even noticed the difference today , she said it looks better than the ones I usually get . Thanks Richie , you won yourself a new client read more

I found this place on yelp and took my son for the first time today. We were a little weary since my son is super picky with his hair. We absolutely loved his cut. The price was fair given the economic time we're in. He had his hair cut by the gentleman at the very first chair on the left. I apologize i didn't catch the name but he was super friendly and listened to what my son wanted. I will definitely be bringing him back here. Thank you! read more

I abide by the "I wouldn't pay for what I can do myself" philosophy, and I've mostly cut/dyed my own hair in my 22 years of existence. I've got all the professional buzzers and scissors on deck because I come from a steady line of hairstylists. So, there was no need to go to a hair-cutting spot. I've always wanted to go to a Barbershop, and so I looked one up and went. That said, this was my first time ever to pay for a haircut, all of which was worth it. Located in a plaza, the shop is tucked into a corner. My initial thought was that inside it would be very tiny, but it had a reasonable amount of space. If you are a person who likes to have your shave in an open and quiet environment, then this place isn't for you. I was a walk-in at 1:30 p.m. on a Monday, and not at all busy. So, if you are looking at what time to come in as a walk-in to get a quick cut, then I would suggest going around that time. I was welcomed by the Barbers when I walked in and told to put down my name. Soon I was comfortable, and my Barber asked me what I needed. I informed him I never had someone cut my hair before and he was free to do something that matched my face. I don't know what his name was, but he had longhair in a ponytail. I really liked that he was engaged and was interested to know his clients. With someone else cutting my hair, I felt anxious, but his attitude, the way he talked, and his experience helped convince me that I was in good hands. I liked his style of cutting, because it was fast and simple. Don't get me wrong, he did a fantastic job in the end. Despite the television playing in the background and the other Barbers chatting, I felt relaxed. Overall, I would recommend the man with the ponytail if you want something fast and simple but still have a sleek style. In truth, when you listen to him, he is quite wise, and has great ideas for conversation. It's great to have those qualities when you interact with people. The price for a complete cut was $21.00 (prices can always change) so note to HAVE CASH on you. Luckily, I did. Barbers and Stylist work to give you the best experience and so I always provide them with the respect and recognition they deserve. Tip well, my friends. I would definitely come back here again. read more

So I've been cutting my hair a little bit over a year at @royalbarbers and religiously cutting my hair with one barber.... And it's pretty obvious where my hair is fucked up specially since I have color in my hair, I just went in there to buy some suavecito, and I showed them him my hair and the response was.. " it didn't look like that when I cut it". "like I said you can try another barber." WTF?!?! Do you guys think that's is a reasonable response? To some one that has been such a loyal customer for such a long time?! Didn't offer to fix it or anything close to it. I had ZERO attitude or anything and those are the responses I got smh. More than anything honestly I'm disappointed as fuck, I went through so many shitty barbers to finally find one that I trusted with my hair and cut exactly how I wanted it...... #RoyalBarbers . read more

Royal Barbers, their truck says Gentlemans haircuts that's a bunch of bull all They know is 0, 1 or 2or up to an 8 how to cut hair and I had an appointment They just told me they couldn't cut my hair the owner didn't want too or he was just lazy and the other guys didn't know how to cut with scissors I guess if you're young person that wants a buzz cut then you're good to go there cause that's all I know how to do is buzz cuts, takes a lot of talent to attach a 01 blade to clippers and move them up and down around head . I qualified what type haircut I Wanted when I made an appointment,,the person taking the appt info said he was 60 and knew the type haircut I wanted. This place would make a good Chinease take out read more

My faith has been restored to this barbershop. I was in desperate need of hair cut and it was closing time, I asked one of the barbers (Vivian) are you guys still cutting and she said yea sit down and I'll cut your hair in a few.. she really did an awesome job, and I'm glad jimmy found some awesome barbers. I'll back soon. read more

Don't judge a book by it's cover. All the barbers are welcoming very knowledgeable they're always able to meet your standards. Very friendly staff . Appointments are not required but I recommend making one as they tend to get busy on weekends. This is not your typical hang out barbershop like other shops. They offer great products for hair and beards . I've also seen it first hand when one of the barbers was working with a toddler with special needs. The mom was very pleased talking about her son only allowing this specific shop to do his hair as they are very gentle and friendly with him. Definitely recommend them! read more

I found this barber shop about 8 months ago after trying a few others in the area and I have to say that this one is one of the Best barber shops I have ever been to. My 3rd barber shop I've been to, and probably the last. Tyler, my barber, he gives some phenomenal fades, tapers and line ups. If you need your beard lined up, hes the man who will make you a whole different person. He is respectful, he is out going, and most importantly his haircuts are on point. Not only are his haircuts on point, the environment and the barber shop its self is what distinguishes them from others. 100% 5 star. read more

I've been coming here for a couple years now & it's good to see that they're under new management. Tbh, there's not another place you'll go that will have that many great barbers in one space. I was real skeptical going in here at first, but my girlfriend wanted me to get a hair cut and I couldn't make the day trip to my normal barber. I explained my situation to the barber Tyler, and with his input I ended up giving him full creative licensing on my hair. It was a little worried at the half way point, because it was a short style I have never done, but the out come was fantastic. Tyler is very meticulous and precise with ever clip, cut, or brush. I couldn't be more happy with the whole experience. That man is a creative genius with hair. I have to give a shoutout to his IG @TYLERTHEFADER. read more

With Barber shops opening and closing so much during Covid-19, I was lucky to stumble across Royal Barbers in Montclair. 7 months ago I was able to get in and have Andrew cut my hair. This dude knows how to cut!! He listens to what you want and then takes his time to do it exactly like you want. He knows how to line it up and you are lucky not to fall asleep while he shaves your face. I love the atmosphere and welcome feeling this little place gives off. I waited 2 hours and not a word was said to me about the wait time. Whatever, it's Saturday and I'm a walk in, I get it. I'll be patient. But I waited thinking I would be next soon. But person after person I was getting a little frustrated. I got there at 9:40 I finally threw in the towel at 11:35. I mean just a little communication from somebody....anybody to let me know "hey bro the wait is more than 2 hours if your a walk in." But I got nothing. They just stared at me and didn't say a word. Cmon man. read more

I would give this place no stars if that was a choice. This place is a joke , it's full of unprofessional youngsters who talk shit on clients based on their appearance. They're all very cocky , If you don't have an appointment you sit there for over an hour while they walk around and socialize , it seems like nobody wants to work . you can't make an appointment because they never answer text messages or calls. It seems like they're very selective when it comes to who they want to service . I've been bringing my boy here for years , I don't remember the service being so shitty way back when. Now they're all new young cat barbers , with shitty attitudes and u professional demeanor , Don't recommend this place take your business elsewhere !!!!! read more
