He quoted the project as a 6 week time frame starting mid February 2024- it is now almost August 1st and we still have an unfinished bathroom. He cemented over the vent in the bathroom - which makes the bathroom out of code and not eligible for resale and with it not being addressed in a timely manner this leads to other issues- such as a vent heating and cooling over fresh poured concrete causing other unforeseen consequences. (Ie cracked concrete, foundation issues, ect..) We were hoping he would do the right thing and make us a priority and focus on fixing this asap however the experience has been the opposite. Including no call - no shows and unpaid invoices to the hvac company who uncovered the issue. We even provided him a positive referral in good faith for a bathroom remodel which ultimately led to him winning the bid. However he keeps telling us that he has not had any receivables since the issue and that he is still waiting and needs more time Week after week it has been this story. There are also several other action items he needs to address and fix and has not. Such as the door trim, paint, dry wall. Things that could have been completed before addressing the vent issue. His team also painted over wallpaper and he told us after the fact. He also asked for more monies outside of the contract. Unfortunately, we are going to have to go the legal route as this is a code violation issue and he is not taking us seriously.
