I accepted can't do it alone lol. TFT is why I'll never go back to a traditional gym. Each workout session fits within 1 hour, the sessions are designed in such a way where you are never waiting for an equipment, and whereas at a traditional gym it would take you twice as long to achieve the same results. The bonus is discovering there are so many muscles you didn't know how to train otherwise. I've tried both custom and group sessions and both are great. Custom gives you that one on one experience with one of the trainers where you can really hone in on your goals (fitness/strength). Group gives you the community. I like to alternate between the two depending on the season I'm in.

For a long time, I let life experiences keep me unmotivated and unhealthy until I found TFT. The trainers here are next level; they know exactly how to push me while keeping it fun and motivating. My workouts have never felt this effective, and I'm already seeing results I didn't think were possible. For the first time, I look forward to every session, knowing I'm building strength, confidence, and consistency. This gym isn't just a place to work out; it's where I've found a passion for fitness. And I'm just getting started.

My journey at OTFSSF began in September of 2023 when a co-worker asked me if I had a regular…read moreroutine at my local gym. I answered no. Ever walk into a gym and just do whatever you feel like, thinking it would be enough in exercising? Well that was me! Working out with zero results because I never really pushed myself other than working out a little longer. I would use different machines for like 15-20 mins and stop if I felt it was enough or if I was just tired. My co-worker told me that I should try OrangeTheory because it would be the best fit for me. And I can say, she was so right! After doing a trial at the location in So. SF, I knew this was the beginning of my transformation! Here are my reasons why I absolutely love it: - Community of people just like me wanting to be healthy - Excellent coaches who are there to guide you on correcting your form of exercise, giving advice & overall support even if you have restrictions they will modify it for you - Routine that works on both cardio & strength (I have gained muscles!) - No one judges you on your appearance or age - Music puts you in the mood (maybe too much as I find myself wanting to dance) - Heart monitoring so you can actually see your results during and after your exercise - Challenges throughout the month to keep your routines exciting yet pushing your limits You can say that I am an OTFSSF addict! Highly recommend if you want to get healthy & stronger!

From the start, everyone has been incredibly welcoming and supportive. My first class was with Head Coach Raquel, who was super friendly and helpful. She took time after my intro class to go over my stats and patiently answer all my questions, which made a great first impression. I originally started with an 8-class/month membership, but upgraded to unlimited when I signed up for the Transformation Challenge in January. While challenges sometimes require an extra registration fee, I highly recommend them -- they're a great way to stay motivated and committed to your goals. The studio staff is also wonderful. They're always helpful, whether it's handling late arrivals, class cancellations, or loaner OTBeat Burn monitors. I really appreciate how accommodating they are. One thing I've noticed is how strong the community is -- a lot of members seem to know each other and have built friendships here. While I haven't made friends with other members yet, the fact that coaches (Raquel, Victoria) and staff (Lawvan, Ivan, Aidan) remember my face makes me feel welcome and seen. If I had to note a couple of areas for improvement, the treadmills feel a bit dated -- the built-in fans blow a bit of dust even after cleaning -- and the InBody scanner used for the Transformation Challenge is more of a consumer-level version, unlike the professional-grade ones I've seen at other studios. Hopefully those are things the studio can upgrade over time. That said, this place is still my favorite part of my fitness routine. The friendly atmosphere, supportive coaches, and helpful staff keep me coming back. I'm so glad I found this studio!

The workouts are varied and challenging. Each day of the week is dedicated to a different part of the body (legs, upper body, core, etc.). The coaches are motivating and great at both correcting form and offering variations for moves that may be difficult for people with knee or other issues. Shout out to Coach Euni! Her classes are always the most intense and leave me feeling spent in the best possible way! There are 3 locations in the…read morePeninsula--Burlingame, San Mateo, and Milbrae-- though ownership for Burlingame is corporate and San Mateo/Milbrae are franchised so membership pricing between locations are slightly different. The Burlingame studio size is slightly bigger than the Milbrae location but has no windows so it gives more of a dark room with pulsing music, Barry's type of vibe. As with Barry's workouts, the music can get pretty loud (my Apple Watch always gives me the noise decibel warning) so I would recommend earplugs. Ownership aside, the workouts are consistent throughout the different studios. The format of the workouts alternate between assault biking and floor exercises (which can be strength movements using barbells, dumbbells, or kettlebells, or more plyometric/cardio focused movements) for 35 minutes, followed by a short core workout and stretches at the end. The fast pace of the intervals and switching between the bikes and the floor can be a little chaotic at first, but after you've taken a class it's pretty easy to follow. I think it's a great format for those who want a good balance of cardio and strength training in every workout. If you want extra butt kicking, I recommend taking Coach Euni's classes. Your legs and abs will be crying after her bike pushes and core exercises, but I love it! A few things to note about the Burlingame studio: -It seems to be the most popular so there are the most class time options but classes fill up quick. If you want to sign up for the weekday early morning ones, you usually have to do it a week in advance when they open (though if you waitlist, you do usually make it off the waitlist). -Because the classes are so full, the studio can feel crowded, especially during transitions as you are trying to grab/rerack weights or dodge people to get to/from your bike. -The popular class times (weekday early mornings, many weekend classes) are blacked out for ClassPass registration. -It's in downtown Burlingame so parking is a B unless you're taking one of the early weekday classes. If you're going for a weekday PM class or weekend 8:15 or later class, good luck and factor in parking time.

It never feels repetitive, and the coaches genuinely care about proper form, motivation, and helping you push past your limits safely. On top of that, the community is incredibly welcoming.
