But when our taxes become more complex--many more deductions and having to pay quarterly state and federal taxes as independent contractors, they were not up for the job--didn't return phone calls, and took weeks to file out taxes which needed to be redone. We ended up having to pay a more specialized tax preparer to straighten out what became an expensive mess. If you need a bookkeeping/simple tax preparation business, this is an excellent choice for you. But if your taxes are more difficult, pay the extra money for an accounting firm. The one we chose even had financial advisors who helped us choose the best way for us to keep inflation for eating up our savings, with no addition cost for the service.

When I arrived, the receptionist asked to scan my documents and had no idea what an identity protection personal identification number was; something the IRS sends out each year. Basic stuff. we had 4 documents, really could not have been easier. The Employee looks at my documents, when we sit down and says, "I don't know how to do this form, you'll gave to somewhere else." I was speechless. I left and entered the document on Turbo Tax in less than 20 seconds. I'm still in disbelief at their lack of knowledge. This is very inconvenient and a waste of my time.
