I am so thankful to Yelp i found this place to get my first tattoo. I wanted a custom design done and Dannie made it happen. The design shows my personality, affiliation, and roots, and it doesn't feel like he's digging into your skin and he's fast. He makes sure you're satisfied with the design and leave the shop happy. The shop itself is clean and i like how their designs and works are displayed on the walls. I highly recommend this place and Dannie. read more

ReddirtTat2 - i love my first tattoo! done by Dannie - Tattoo Near Me - National City, California

Brotha Dannie, the owner, blasted my chest with a Poly flow/Micronesian tribal a couple of weeks ago. Reddit Tat2 is a family owned, soon to be, tattoo organizational chain (He's opening up a shop in Guam). While he's blasting in his side of the studio - his wife is doing her thing on the other side while their daughter runs around her, soon to be, tattoo kingdom. Dannie is hella good people, with sick ass skills. The minute you walk into his shop you feel very welcomed, AND at home. He immediately puts on some chill ass island music to ease your nerves before the blasting. You tell him what you want, he sketches it on the spot, on where you want it, and he does his magic. "Addicted" is a strong word, but one that I'm reminded of when frequently looking at Dannie's tattoo portfolio on either IG or FB. His tribal-art-inspired portraits and tropical designs are just magnetic and beautiful for its appreciation of simplicity. His use of color is just right, enough to give a pop to tribal tattoos. If you're ever in the area, want a bomb ass chronically acclaimed tattoo, from the islands (Micronesia, Polynesia, and/or Melanesia) or just simply have a deep appreciation for tribal tattoos - hit up Reddirt Tat2 for some clean ass lines! His work definitely speaks for itself: diverse, meticulous, and hella classy. A lot of his tattoos will last the test of time for its untiring use of black, and linework. read more

Ceez and Dannie are awesome. Clean and welcoming shop. Their tattoos are clean and they specialize in different types and styles of tattoo. Ceez has done work for my family and we keep going back. They have great art pieces on the wall as well. They are highly skilled and tell you the meaning of all the Poly tats, which is important when getting a tattoo. Everything is sterilized. They take walk-ins but I suggest making an appointment. No wait and comfortable setting. read more

My tattoo artist was Dannie the owner itself, shop is always clean and people at the shop are friendly! The best in San Diego I would say, they can put ink to your skin like you've wanted and always on point! If you value your body, don't settle for less. They're very professional and the best! Thanks Pareng Dannie! Go to him for your ink highly recommended. read more

Dannie and his wife own a family owned tattoo parlor . Moment I walked in , it felt different from the others . He fixed my mess of a tribal tattoo done at another parlor (wont mention Names but it's in Escondido) . He did an amazing job, to the point I'm no longer ashamed to take my shirt off to show it off. read more

Dannie is a joke, he rescheduled on me 3 times, dose not stay true to his word. I got an incomplete tattoo that I've bin waiting for months to complete. My wife wanted to her brows and some tatted by Leanne. Maybe they're racist. This place is super unorganized. With high prizes. read more

LISTEN... Dannie is absolutely a top notch artist in the tattoo industry. If you are considering a tattoo, do not go anywhere else... go to Reddirt. This shop just has a different vibe that makes you feel comfortable with peace of mind. He just finished the first session of a big cover up that I thought was nearly impossible. His attention to detail and creativity is outstanding. On top of that, he is very down to earth and an all around cool person. You don't need to take my word for it because his work speaks for itself. *** A+A+A+ *** read more

She was very professional and since it was my first time, The pain was pretty bad but her professionalism really made it a unique and relaxing experience for me. I would HIGHLY recommend her. Seriously, the atmosphere is really chill and the tattooing area is very sanitized and she made sure they stay that way. As for me, Im definetly coming back to get my sleeve. read more

I came in two weeks ago having a rough idea of what I wanted for my tattoo, but I was lucky enough to get Dannie. He set me for an appointment and asked for the patterns I wanted to be incorporated in my tattoo. On the day of my appointment, I wasn't sure how my tattoo was going to look like but Dannie free handed his idea and, I will tell you this it was amazing!I was amazed at how nicely detailed and straight every line was while at the same time having him incorporate everything that I asked for. Dannie is a very talented artist and I would recommend him 100 percent! Being my first tattoo I wasn't expecting how things were going to be and how much the cost of the tattoo would be and at the same time was scared and a little intimidated coming in, but the staff were welcoming and the overall environment was great and on top of that the price was excellent for the piece I had. I will definitely be back for another piece in the near future! Much love to the Reddirt Tattoo staff! read more

So I got my second tattoo here and this shop specializes in Polynesian and filipino tribal tattoo. I got a turtle done on my calf in Polynesian tribal. I checked out their artwork before anything to see how well they did the tribal and all they're lines are straight and crisp which is why I decided to get my tattoo by them. Ceez is the one that tattooed me and he gave me the best customer service! He was patient with me when my leg kept flinching and wasn't mad when I almost kicked him by accident. He checked on me to see how my tattoo is healing and I never got that vibe or service from the other place where I got my first tattoo from. I will definitely recommend this shop and Ceez for any tribal tattoo. This was my first big piece and I felt at ease knowing he was the one behind the needle. I will definitely get more work done by him! read more

Love the atmosphere here. Johnel did my tat. I'm so sorry if I spelled his name wrong. I love it. I have plenty of tattoos but this one is my favorite great line work . He did it all free hand and it's amazing. Will be going back here for all of my work from now on. Thank you guys for the welcoming energy. You read more

Very passionate artists. Awesome customer service. Highly recommend if you love tribal tattoos.

This place is a gem. Got my tattoo done by princess. She was very knowledgeable about Filipino tattoos and she translated a saying I wanted into babayin. The session we had was awesome! She made me feel very comfortable and ensured proper measures were taken such as ensuring needles and such were new and not open. The money was well worth. I spent about $700 for my piece but it was worth it. Just as the saying goes good tattoos ain't cheap and cheap tattoos ain't good. I'd definitely go to her if I'm ever back down that side and I want to add on. read more

Awesome is the word for the artist.Dannie is an amazing artist. My art materialized before my eyes. He works very fast but very meticulous. He is very professional , very friendly and respectful. Nothing but good vibes when I come into the shop! Dannie does a great job, anyone needs to get tatted go to Dannie! He's the best!

Ed is an ok artist but has poor customer service.

I had Princess work on my tattoo. It was my first one and I was pretty nervous about it. She was patient with me when I was deciding what I wanted. She made sure I was comfortable through out the whole process. My tattoo turned out really great and she was so awesome. If I ever decide to get another one, she would be the person I would go see. read more

I had been waiting for 10 years for my Filipino Tribal tat. Where I'm from we have no Filipino artists doing work. Was in San Diego for a short time and Dannie worked on my sleeve for about 4-5 hours. I didn't have a design in mind and he was happy to free hand his own beautiful concept on my arm. He worked extremely efficiently and quickly on my arm. His lines were so clean and I couldn't have asked for a better tattoo. Some people might think the price for a sleeve is expensive, the end result is absolutely worth every penny. Dannie knows his stuff and is extremely skilled with the needle. I can't wait to be back in Cali and get more work done from him. read more

Dannie the owner has done all 4 of my tattoos and he never disappoints. Def contact him for all your tattoo needs!

Started with just one small tattoo on my back, ended up with a whole back piece, shoulder piece, and a quarter sleeve. All master pieces done by Dannie. His work by far is amazing. I told him what I wanted and he made it happen plus lots more. His passion for tattooing really reflects his work. He made my back piece come alive. I had 100% trust in him that I went back for a shoulder piece and another quarter sleeve on my other arm. I literally told him to do whatever he thought was nice and he delivered. That's a true artist. They say tattoos are addicting? I'm addicted to his work. His creative mind is on point! Reddirt tat2 shop is also high maintenance. Clean and very welcoming. Definitely family oriented! What makes Reddirt tat2  different, is the fact that there is also a Permanent Make up artist! Get your eyebrows and eyelashes done ladies. Leanne's work is perfect and all natural work. For sure Reddirt tat2 deserves to be the Best Tattoo shop in San Diego. read more
