I planned a trip to San Diego for my 40th birthday and getting a tattoo to commemorate the trip was one of the first things I planned. I booked this appointment 6 months in advance and got a response right away. I picked Deville based on the outstanding reviews. Nemo was super communicative and accommodating and let me come in a little early. He had my stencil drawn up based on the photo I sent him. He took my idea and turned it into a beautiful piece of art. This was one of my last experiences in San Diego and it was a perfect way to remember this experience. Since I'm traveling he gave me extra second skin just in case I needed to change it (I did). Great artist, super friendly guy, clean shop, beautiful work and turns out he even has atlanta connections (where I'm from) which felt like a sign I was in the right spot. If you're in San Diego and want a great experience and beautiful art stop by Deville. Thanks Nemo!! read more

I absolutely love prince & Ericka and the staff they do amazing work & are great ppl I highly recommend them

I got a tattoo with Erica and she is extremely talented and sooo nice! She fixed my messed up tattoo that I had gotten from someone else and made it look amazing! Her thin line work is also very beautiful. She takes her time and makes sure you're comfortable during the entire process. 10/10 definitely recommend Erica! read more

I came to his shop the day before getting my tattoo (3-9-20) to get a quote . Mara gave me her card and a fair price quote . Booked an appointment with her . I went in today (3-10) at the set time , she was ready and already had my idea sketched out . She is a very clean and neat artist . She warned me before tattooing the painful spots which I liked .. this gave me time to prepare . She is an amazing artist , and I will definitely be getting some more pieces by her in the near future ! Book Mara ! Fair price was given to me and I didn't need to spend any extra time than needed while getting tattooed by her ! I am extremely happy with my tattoo ! read more

Great establishment, great professionalism, even better art work. This is and will be the only shop I get tattoos from for now on.

I love my tattoo! I am not usually one to leave reviews but I wanted to share my experience with Nemo while getting a piece done by him while he was on Tour. I had sent him all my ideas, and when I saw the final product it was everything I could have imagined. He is professional, well experienced, and nothing but great energy. I cant wait to go back and finish my leg sleeve with him when I'm in California again. read more

Awesome experience at Deville. All the artists are amazing but Nemo is the one that completed my thigh piece in 2 sessions. He was efficient while he worked and was able to complete it in a much shorter amount of time than I was thinking. The studio is super clean and everyone is cautious about keeping it that way. Great experience for my newest piece of art and will for sure be back to see them! read more

DO NOT GO!! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Came in to get a custom tattoo by Prince. Made appointment, text him the picture, confirmed appointment several times. Day of appointment, he did not have the tattoo sketched out. I had to sit and wait an hour and a half for him to sketch it out and have it ready. Not only did I not get a discount for me waiting on him, he never finished the tattoo. I was still charged full price. Went back another time, gave him another chance. Again. I had to sit and wait 2 hours for him to sketch out the design and have it ready. Third and last time I went, I went with another tattoo artist. We agreed on the custom tattoo. Day of appointment, he shaded in the way he wanted not what I asked. I now have tattoos I hate and am saving my money to have them removed. Avoid this place at all cost read more

Nemo is the man! I was referred by a friend a few years back, and went to see him. Before even looking at his work, he sold me on his personality and enthusiasm. I asked him for a sugar skull piece i had in mind, a few days later, he came up with something way over and beyond what i had imagened, he litterally blew my mind. Ever since my big piece, i have been a loyal customer. He is very respectful and I trust his artistic talent. He has now done my sleeve and my husband (who is extremely picky). I can't see myself getting a tattoo by anyone else. He will take your idea and put his nemo spin (if desired) and will blow your mind. All in all, nemo is the man, and the prices are the best in town. He makes you feel like family. Hubby and I love him! read more

I am probably one of the biggest advocates of Deville Tattoo. Prior to finding Deville Tattoo I had 2 other artists work on my rib piece. One whom signed it without my permission and the other whom just didn't do anything I asked him to. When I Met Nemo and showed him my piece he was so confident he could cover the signature and restore it back to my original idea. He did so much more than that and I am just in awe of the work he has done for me. I have been tattooed by all three artists in the shop, Nemo, Matt and Nicky Chance. They all do amazing work and have their own strengths. I will never go to another shop. This is my family now!!! read more

This place was recommended by a friend and I couldn't be happier. My fiancé and I had been wanting to get tattoos for some time and my normal to go to guy recently moved out of the country. I messaged Jeromy (Nemo) through FB and he responded fairly quickly. We spoke about what I wanted and he squeezed me in for an appt before he was to go to the Philippines. We arrived early and filled out our waivers and went over the types of tattoos we wanted to get with his assistant. I went first and while he was waiting on my stencils I asked if he could help me with a color change for a tiny heart tattoo and he was done before we even got the stencils. Amazing!!! He was very sociable and very friendly. I got two small tattoos and it took him about 20 mins to finish both. Very professional and turned out amazing. My fiancé requested a slightly larger piece in his rib cage and what would normally take a couple hours only took him about 40-45 minutes and amazing work once again. We have discussed going back to get other pieces done. Will def be visiting there again. Place is very clean and everyone is so friendly. Thanks again Nemo!! read more

The dude that claims to have most experience absolutely fucked my arm up. There are so many other shops anywhere but here.

Best place in San Diego! They treat you like family, the shop is always clean (sanitary), and walk-ins are always welcome. They have artists with years under their belts, going from 16 to 26 years. Matt is excellent in portriats, nature, and life-like details. Nemo (shop owner) is jaw dropping with accurate details in cultural tribals, over a 100 different font styles, and is well diverse in attention to detail. Nicky is an old school tattoo artist. Rocking out with the Traditional tattoos, his use of color and black n grey is remarkable! The shop as a whole gives you that warm welcoming vibe, where you'll always feel at peace. The warm colors of red and the unique flooring, makes your first time in a magical experience. But don't just take my word for it, you have to check it out! Oh and it's military friendly, and they can work with what you can budget. read more

I love my tattoo from Wonka! The color and the shading looks great and it was greatly priced!

Deville Tattoo is a one of a kind shop. The vibe is amazing. They really know what's up. I was really impressed at how bright my husband's tattoo ended up being. Josh was professional and really seems to love his job, trust me it shows in his detail. All of the artists here are super friendly. They treat you like family even if it's your first time with them. The shop itself was extremely clean, the cleanest I have ever been in. They make you feel right at home from the minute you walk through the door. We will be back again very soon! Thank you all so much. Definitely go check them out, you won't be disappointed! I also really liked the fact that they are big supporters of our troops, and that means a lot to us. read more

Nemo is the man. Looking for good and clean tattoo, don't look any further DEVILLE's Tattoo is the place to be!!!

Went in here today with 2 other friends. We were welcomed by one of the tattoo artist. My girlfriend received a tattoo by Nemo One. Now let me just say this, I learned that it's not about just making money for these guys. They listen to you and want to give you the best and see you happy. He took care of my girl and even expressed himself with her story. I loved his compassion for her and how he helped to keep her sons memory alive. Myself and my other girlfriend were tattooed by Nicky Chance. This was her first tattoo and he made the experience a great one for her. He took his time and tried to be as gentle as possible. We all received personal tattoos to keep a friend/sister Son and our God Son memory forever with us and they did excellent work. I could go on forever but just know that if you want to work with great artist who truly are there for you and give quality work this is the place. Thank you guys for what you did for us today. read more

Nemo Is the man. He fixed my two on my arm then made a killer half sleeve. Never going to another artist, he is for real a genius.

I came to this place because a friend referred me and I checked here on yelp and they have 5 stars, but wow was I wrong. I don't even want to put a picture of my tattoo up because it's so embarassing. My child could have honestly done a better job. Nemo by far is one of the worst tattoo artists ever, which surprised me because the reviews said such great things. I should have looked at the pictures because the tattoos are horrible. One to add to my collection of cover ups. read more

Wow! This place is amazing! I was recommended this location by a girlfriend who had Nemo do a few pieces for her and her husband. And I was not disappointed. I received an owl and sugar skull and just fell in love with the shading and lines. So I booked another appointment. I planned on building around the owl with flowers, but casually mentioned I want a mermaid. I was ok waiting until the next session for the mermaid. But Nemo was so excited, drew me the most beautiful mermaid. I was excited seeing it in paper. As it was put in my skin my expectations were more than exceeded!! It was better than I could have imagined. It sounds cheesy but I am so stoked to have this ink on me forever! Thank you Nemo! The shop is amazing. The work perfect. The people cool. The pricing fair. I will be back! read more

Nemo is the best tattoo artist in town! Very welcoming and friendly! Get lots of compliment from his art and can't wait to get more tattoos!

A chance was took to do my tattoo. Rushed the outline. Rushed the shading. I feel like in order to get a really good tattoo, you have to be a good ass kisser. That's bs. I thought that having tattoo was for art of the body. No bs talking or is it because I talk different and colored. My cousin works for filam community. read more
