It's a nice quiet place to fish. Not crowded at all. Beautiful landscape and we did see six dolphins. It's clean and safe. Have fun and bring your own shrimp.

Gate still locked till 8 am

Arrived at 6:15 as sunrise was 6:25. The guy didn't come open the gate till 8. Not impressed. Will do another review on the reserve itself

Little pick of beach

I loved loved loved this place the views were awesome. I was going to go on a hiking but note to self must have bug spray After a quarter mile out I realized I was getting bit left and right so I decided to go check the pier talk to local fishermen. They gave me really nice info and some additional tips for the area. It is is a great place and if u just want to sit out on a bench and just watch. even if it's just watching the ships come in

Scenic place for fishing, crabbing, or just an outdoor lunch. Not very ideal for walkers or joggers, as it is a very short distance.

Dolphins near the pier.

The staff and volunteers were incredibly welcoming and did a great job hosting. The grounds are beautiful, peaceful, and such a great reminder of what a special outdoor space this is for the community. It was the perfect setting for an evening event and a great way to experience the gardens in a different light. If you haven't been yet, definitely check it out and support this local gem!

They invite everyone to join them. It's also great place to meetup with friends and enjoy a walk on one or more trails. All the trails are covered by trees. If it rains a lot at least one of the trails is impassable but you still have other choices. Pros: * Lots of trails to choose from with lots of different levels of difficulty * A nice size picnic area - approximately 8 tables available * A couple of small gazebos (in case it rains) * A nice assortment of plants along the paved walking area * A nice Christmas event Cons: * limited restrooms - available only at the front entrance and sometime the men's needs maintenance

It has a small but pleasant nature walk, a kayak launch, a children's playground, an open field, adequate parking, and more. There is a private residence on the grounds, so please be mindful of that. All in all, Alejandro Garces Camp Tomahawk Park is a wonderful park and a great place in particular for the residents of this quiet side street. We need parks like this in our communities. This is a wonderful place to come in respite. I would definitely recommend a visit here, especially if you are in the neighborhood or anywhere in the general area. I will give it five stars as an overall rating. Go check it out for yourself, I am confident that you will not be disappointed.

She continued on by playing with my children but did not have a child with her. A boyfriend was standing and waiting outside of the vehicle just smoking cigarettes. It gave me an uneasy feeling that either she was on drugs or they were involved in trafficking. I have since not gone back. It is a nice park otherwise and it's unfortunate some people have to ruin a good thing. I would just be mindful when you come here with your kids.
