The Only feedback I would have is the communication in what's required when you're getting packages. My reflexology was supposed to be 20 min just feet and that didn't happen. But they did switch my person right before I was suppose to start so maybe that was missed in translation.

We've had our fair share of massages in life especially at resorts and out of everything this has been AMAZING! Firstly, booking was easy and they have plenty of availability! We were interested in add-on/enhancements so we came early to discuss and Kai was awesome at explaining everything. We booked a Couple's Wellness Massage and my husband added the Apricot Oil and I added the CBD and we were offered a promotion for the Himalayan Hot Stones. The massage was a combination of Swedish and Thai that included stretching plus our add-ons and I've never felt better. We had dinner afterwards or I would've also gotten the scalp + face massage. I'm coming back to see Yoshi for it all...she was fabulous! My only issue was that at the beginning when we were changing someone knocked and opened the door immediately. Not sure who it was and not happy about that part cause I wasn't ready. They offered us drinks at the end and even took our pictures! The front desk receptionist is a photographer per Kai and he did got a great shot!

The food was good and not heavy which is appropriate since we're all doing outdoor pools. The drinks were good if you ordered them and picked them up. The drinks delivered to your relaxation location could be stronger in my opinion considering the cost. Overall, we had a great experience and will be returning when my budget and schedule allows!

After chatting with a few staff members and discovering that they had all recently gotten their pay cut, I was baffled. Not being able to tip poolside service was crazy as well, especially since I'm sure the hourly pay is poor. The first time I came, a year ago, compared to this visit, you could definitely see all the little things corporate has done to make the biggest buck, and that is sad for a beautiful concept like this. No robes included, dirtier pools, towel restrictions, and QR codes at all the pools for convenience (I used one once, but after seeing that you couldn't tip, I didn't want to use it again). I left with the group I was with, and I'm still feeling tense about the working conditions for the staff. I hope corporate takes better care of their employees and maybe hires some women in corporate to run this show--people who have worked their way up--because this gem of a place is going to get run into the ground.

Note: Spa Castle states they don't provide sauna uniforms, but they do provide robes made of a thin canvas which is essentially the same thing. Everyone wears robes around the facility, not clothing, for the most part. That's standard for a Korean bathhouse. Great: The facilities are large and really pretty with a huge variety of pools, saunas, and lounging areas, and calming music. There's a gym too but it requires sneakers. There's a large outdoor pool area. Spa Castle is friendly to those who don't want to be nude in the locker areas as you can wear the robes everywhere. Every major lounging area had a water cooler available. They also have nice details like a swimsuit dryer and shelving outside the saunas to hold your water bottle, drink, etc. Needs improvement: There is caulk floating all over the pools, and it's coming off the benches inside the hot tubs. I would rather not have caulk inside my private parts. Tickets are pricey, and don't include any traditional spa services (massage, scrub, nails etc) which are an additional fee. At least one area was still closed, and not all pool buttons (water jets) worked. Despite the pricey ticket, not everything is in good repair. I had some issues with service. Be prepared to give your phone number upon buying tickets. I didn't want to, they insisted. Definitely started my visit on a sour note. Then, I was not allowed to leave the building to get my water bottle which I forgot in my car. I had to make a fuss before I was allowed to retrieve my water bottle. What the heck? I don't understand why the web tickets are not redeemable for 24 hours after purchase. That makes no sense. They don't offer shaved ice for sale anymore, but the shaved ice pictures are still up. I wish they would correct these details. Unfortunately, I won't be back for a while.

Even after two verbal exchanges where I said she could go lighter on pressure, it was still pretty rough and my body was tense over 75% of the time. My masseuse's nails were also a touch long so on occasion, it felt as though I was getting scratched. I cannot speak on my boyfriend's experience as much but I do know he said he would have preferred more of a gentle massage with longer strokes to ease out the knots and kinks in his back and shoulders. I am unclear if it is the massage we picked that was the problem, but regardless, we both left feeling unsatisfied, unfortunately. I have been hesitant to even leave this review but I feel it important to share at least. I would be sure to talk to your masseuse about what exactly you're looking for -- I do believe we are at some fault for not being clear what we wanted, although there was never really a time to discuss it.

Let's start with check-in, we were promptly greeted by the front desk that offered us water and wine as we filled out of waivers and waited for our masseuses to be ready. We were then taken into our perspective rooms and the beds were HUGE- definitely the biggest massage bed I've ever been in. It was also heated and the pillow was scented, a great start to my day of relaxation before the massage even started. This was my first Thai massage and I don't know if I can ever go back to a typical Swedish. From the back stepping to the stretching, I left the table feeling incredibly relaxed.

After Woodhouse's most recent renovation, the Quiet Room feels like a Starbucks seating area, where I should whip out my laptop and hop on a Zoom call. Several small, dining-height tabletops and lots of tiny, hard chairs. What happened to the comfy chaise lounges with the big, fluffy pillows? There's a small water station (cool, no ice) and a few small to-go snacks, but that's it. I was led to the locker room and shown my locker, but never offered a water or mimosa, not even instructed to sit in the Quiet Room while I waited. They have complimentary snacks and flavored water. There are also still cozy blankets throughout the room you can use. I will say the chairs are not super comfortable so which I would bet is to ensure you don't lounge around all day. The complimentary drink situation hasn't changed, but they have added clarification at the front desk and in the lounge. ONE complimentary drink is offered (wine, champagne, mimosa, tea) and you can choose to have it prior to your service or after. I would recommend if you are arriving less than 30min before your service OR it's busy, get your drink AFTER! There are only so many staff members and if it's busy your drink won't be delivered with enough time to actually enjoy it prior to your service. They have removed the door from the shower and replaced it with a curtain so it's easier to spot. HOWEVER, they do not offer towels larger than a washcloth, so if you plan to shower BRING your OWN towel! They do however have complimentary shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. For the first time I ever I included a facial to my visit. The Repair and Revive facial was incredibly relaxing and my skin looked wonderful! I do wish more instruction had been offered when I checked in as this was my first facial. For ex: - Do I wear a robe, or go in my clothes? A: Either. You take off your top and they have you wear a wrap before climbing under a warm blanket and lay on a table (like a massage). - Should I shower before because I won't want to wash my face after? A: yes. Sunscreen and other creams were added to my face so I did not want to shower after. -Should I have my hair done or leave it messy after a massage? A: They massage your neck and around your hairline with oils then wrap a soft headband around your hair to keep it off your face. I had a new woman giving my massage and a new woman do my facial and both were incredible. I have yet to request the same person when I return because truly no matter who I get, they are incredible!
