I had such high hopes when I joined this gym. They market it as 'never overcrowded, limited subscriptions'. The gym is not only overcrowded with equipment(good equipment, but still overcrowded) but it's also overcrowded with many teenage kids, coming in packs. Standing around taking photos in the mirrors, blocking weight racks. It's next to impossible to get on machines or maneuver inside. They advertise towel service. There are hardly paper towels or toilet paper when I'm there, let alone actual towels. The women's bathroom is beyond gross and I'm told the men's is even worse. Weights are everywhere and when you need a weight, you need to shoo away whatever teenager is standing in front of weight rack taking photos of themselves. In August there was no AC, for a month!! Any time you asked when we could expect the AC to be fixed we got run around about parts, the city of Boca not allowing the work to be done. Excuse after excuse. I thought then perhaps the gym may be going under, then they began packing the place with anyone who was willing to come in. Zero gym etiquette and all. More than once I've also parked in the lot and observed broken glass in the parking spaces, which I assume is due to breaking into someone's vehicle to steal belongings. Another thing I assume happens when you have a bunch of kids in your gym. When you bring these issues up to management they say they have no plans to change anything, but they appreciate our feedback. I gave 2 stars because they do have awesome equipment. More gyms are starting to pop up with better equipment. ReinventU, house of steal, anytime fitness, powerhouse in Delray. Maybe with the opening of all of these redcon1 will realize they may need to set some rules. I personally know others who have left due to these issues. We canceled our memberships as well. read more

Wow! NICE GYM! Babe & I decided to come workout here early this morning for my first workout. REALLY NICE. Big. I still love my gym since I can see this one getting crowded during the day. Very nice equipment. We had a solid workout. Love the neon lights decor. Made my boo's muscle look more DELISHHHHH!!!!! He's already big & the delish but the neon lights just exacerbated the look....:Lolol... Babe got me a daily pass so they do give them. REALLY NICE GYM with ALL THE EQUIPMENT YOU COULD NEED. I drive 45mins (sometimes more) from west palm to train here and am giving up my LA Fitness membership of 5+ yrs to be here. If you are a old cranky person who doesnt like "change" then nobody wants you around anyways! This gym has the BEST equipment whether you're into bodybuilding, powerlifting, cardio, etc. with equipment I've never seen whether it's Russian kettlebells, cardio equipment, mag grips, shoulder rok (spelling?), etc. Next- pure aesthetics of the gym. Not only is the equipment TOP NOTCH but everywhere you go looks aesthetically pleasing. The locker rooms look like salons, the lighting is stellar, the hues of the walls, just everything is beautiful! I could go on and on but here's the last thing I will leave you with, they respect military and first responders! And ACTUALLY respect them, not just a "thank you for your service" ya know. The gym caters to a crowd who genuinely enjoys being motivated to T R A I N at the gym. Not workout for "convenience", or give 2 cents about things being "spotless" (it's a gym- it's gonna get a little dirty- which I haven't actually seen btw and I'm here at LEAST 3-4x a wk but hey if you leave a review and call a place a bad word goes to show what kind of person that is) and from what I have PERSONALLY seen there is no missing equipment or equipment just laying around. BLUF (bottom line up front for everyone not familiar with that military term ;) ) is I genuinely enjoy and am so thankful that there is finally a gym that blasts loud motivating music, I can watch motivating strong people on the wall (who WOULDNT want to watch successful lifters train on the wall) and workout around ppl that are actually in the gym to train. I've been a member of this gym for 3 years abs was on of the first members when the gym opened. I used the facility 5-6 days a week. The place is not the cleanest and the lack of weights can be annoying. The manger is great but the owner is not very nice. Most people avoid her because of her "I'm better than you" attitude. Very unbecoming and unprofessional to the point that my membership was revoked because she didn't like me. I would not recommend this gym if you're looking for a new spot. read more

Passing through and stumbled upon this gem of a gym. I worked out at the LA Fitness similar distance from the hotel I was staying in and was not pleased by the organization and pressure to sign up despite saying I don't live in town. My experience at Redcon1 was a completely different experience. The gym was clean and organized. There a lot of serious lifters here and tons of BB pros so if you prefer a gym spa experience this might not be for you. Gianna, the operations manager showed A+ hospitality and a tour so I knew where to go right away. Highly recommend. read more

Dropped in because I worked out here 2 years ago it was awesome now the gym is very dirty !!! Locker rooms are filthy and equipment as-well. Cardio equipment had used sweat wipes on them. Also sauna was included now they want a extra 20 just to use a basic sauna. read more

Funny how all the negative reviews start with "I'm a big fan of Trainerspace", "I was a member of Trainerspace". Last time I checked, the sign out front said "REDCON". I signed up for this gym a week before they opened, during thier soft-opening. I agree, not all of the staff exude a sunny demeanor but do they have to? Do you need them wearing a tux and greeting you with caviar on a silver plate? Not a single Redcon employee has been even slightly disrespectful during my time there. The gym is clean, not by any means packed, and has the most unbelievably varied collection of equipment I've ever seen. There's not been one time I've walked in to see un-racked dumbells. Yes, the music is loud. Headphones should suffice if you don't like the music or the volume to which it's played. If you want to go to a gym to lift and be motivated by a diverse group of like-minded people then Redcon is for you. If you want to go to a gym, just to say you went and post your 15 minute "workout" on IG or FB please go elsewhere. - Happy Gym Client read more

The gym was definitely disappointing. Although it had a lot of cool machines you don't find in many gyms, it wasn't laid out in a way that made much sense, and the place was a mess, dumbbells and cable attachments scattered, and an entire corner filled with machines "out of order". Idk. Maybe if there was a little more attention to the upkeep I'd give it more stars. The staff was welcoming and no fuss with our guest check in policy which was refreshing. read more

Insane equipment. it may be as good and better in certain areas then Bev Francis Powerhouse gym in NY. (Which is where I'm coming from) Atmosphere is really good and you will see pros and personalities like Kai Greene. good music if you don't have headphones . They have great shakes and what not. If you are a natural lifter just make sure you are a confident person .and can handle being in the 5 percent that doesn't use gear. I was maybe the only natural male besides 2 other people during peak hours at the gym other day. Doesn't bother me at all but I could see some people not enjoying being surrounded by enhanced lifters. it is a bit disorganized and scattered. Some of the equipment too close together. Trade off is that it's not a huge gym but has the most versatile equipment you'll probably ever see. Can't really change lot space without construction.. read more

Recently just moved away so I had to cancel and didn't think anything of it until I got charged for it again so I called again. I ended up calling 3 times and sending 2 emails because apparently they only do email cancellations and then they forget to disclose that you also have to respond to the email they send in order to cancel so I ended up paying for 3 extra months of services despite calling in multiple times and sending an email that I wanted to cancel. With this policy they could be getting tons of people for multiple extra months. Poor practice that isn't in any customers best interest. read more

I read some of the bad reviews below and honestly feel like I'm listening to a bunch of crybabies and karens. I don't understand why people put so much stock into what other people are doing and what not but I guess it's a Boca raton thing. Redcon is a no BS gym for serious lifters, athletes and bodybuilders. I've been training martial arts seriously for 12 years and fought in Muay Thai and K1 kickboxing , so I needed a place where I can push myself and maintain my athleticism as I move well into my 30s. The gym has a lot of equipment, but most importantly to me a real Olympic lifting platform for cleans and the like. They also have a heavy bag so I can get some bag work in when I'm not at my fight gym. It's not always the cleanest but again im not going there to hangout and lounge. I'm going to the gym to grind and put in work. For $60/month with no annual contract it's hard to beat. The staff at redcon are all really nice and helpful, I've only had good experiences with all of them. That said, maybe the gyms not for everybody. If you're insecure which is commonplace for working out and if other people actually matter to your workout experience, maybe it's not for you. I'd suggest putting less emphasis into your image, status or comfort level with those around you and focus on yourself and your personal fitness program, but hey that's just me. Lifetime fitness is great but too far from my house in Delray. I might checkout reinventu. If you're nearby redcon I suggest giving it a try. read more

This is by far the best gym I've ever been y'all! My boyfriend and I travel from Orlando monthly just to frequent this gym! There is nothing like it! The equipment, the staff, the shake bar everything is spectacular!! Insanely clean!! Gabe head of memberships, was awesome when he gave us our tour he really went into detail even though we were very upfront about not being locals! This is one of the main reasons we signed up! Without any pressure at all he found us the perfect membership that works with our distance! The manager Bruce was so helpful, very friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming! Disclaimer - This review is written by 1. A current and active member of Redcon1 Gym who attends the gym most mornings Mon-Fri (6:30 am - 7:30 am) 2. A former member of Trainerspace - the gym that was in the same location of Redcon1 prior to the transition 3. A former gym owner - I spent 3 years in the trenches as an owner/operator/trainer of a gym in Atlanta, GA. When I originally came across the yelp page of Redcon1, I had no intention of writing a review, but after reading the negative reviews, I felt compelled to give my two cents, so here goes! First, I'd like to address all the negative reviews. Redcon1 is not Trainerspace. To compare the two, would be like comparing Planet Fitness to an old school 1990's Golds Gym. It's apples and oranges. If I went to a Planet Fitness and decided to write a review, I would critique the gym based on what that gym is offering and branding themselves as. I wouldn't walk into a Planet Fitness, and then go write a review about how it sucks compared to Gold's because PF has a lunk alarm and Gold's doesn't. That's not fair to Planet Fitness, they are not trying to be Golds, just like Redcond1 is not trying to be Trainerspace. By the way, if you don't know what the lunk alarm is, do yourself a favor and go to planet fitness, get a day pass, walk over to the free weight section, pick up a 50lb db, drop it....then wait. Second, I have no intricate knowledge of the Trainerspace ownership financial situation, but I know enough about the business side of gym ownership to tell you that place was hemorrhaging cash.... like really f*cking bad. NOBODY WAS EVER THERE. The gym was literally a ghost town everyday. In fact, if you look at all the old Trainerspace reviews, every reviewer talks about how "peaceful" and "quiet" the gym was. Seriously people? What business do you know of that could possibly survive without customers! They must have named it Trainerspace because there were more trainers there every day without clients than actual paying clients. No wonder all the people writing negative reviews liked it, they had a 7,000 sqft playground all to themselves whenever they showed up. Sorry folks, but its still a business and they have to make money to keep the doors open. Trainerspace didn't close because everything was all hunky dory, it closed because the business was failing. Third, all the negative reviews would carry serious weight if Redcon1 took over Trainerspace, kept the Trainerspace name, and told all the current gym members (probably less than 50), that they were going to keep the same gym going. That didn't happen. From my perspective, the moment Redcon1 took over they established themselves as a different kind of gym. - Steps off soapbox....takes breather...steps back on soapbox Now.... onto an actual review of Redcon1 Pros: If you take lifting weight seriously, you won't find a gym with better equipment. Everything from a reverse hyper to kettlebells, two platforms (with chalk), a forearm machine, neck machine, a standing chest press, multiple variations of a leg press, a weighted sled, battle ropes, 130lb+ dumbbells, the list goes on and on. From functional lifters to bodybuilders, this gym has pretty much anything you need. The mens locker room has plenty of lockers with 4 showers. While I don't use it, they have a kids room for when mom and/or dad are working out. This is the smallest gym I've ever seen that offers something like this. Cons: I've found that some of the staff are really friendly and always welcoming and others literally won't look you in the eye. Also, I've lost count the number of times I've walked into this gym and the person at the front desk doesn't greet me. Both of these customer service issues are easily fixable, I'm just not sure ownership is aware. Communication is an issue as well. When I left the gym on Friday morning, there was a sign posted on the front door that said the gym would be closed today (Sat) for a private event. I never received an email about this, nor was anything posted on social media about the gym being closed. Had I not been at the gym on Friday, I would have made the 45-minute treck from Jupiter where I live to find out I wouldn't be able to work out. I showed up the morning after Halloween to a closed gym at 6:30 am. Again, no notification that the gym would not be open. Overall I really like the gym. I'm not going to put a pro/con review about the music, but there is a lot of metal and rock played in the mornings. If that's your thing then you will love it, if not, throw on some headphones. I'm giving the gym a slight pass on their customer service and communication skills for now. Redcon1 is a supplement company 1st, gym 2nd. I believe this is their first go-around at gym ownership, and so i don't expect everything to be perfect. That's the reason for giving 4 out of 5 stars. Once those kinks are worked out, I'll probably change my review to 5 out of 5. read more

The worst gym experience ever. Not like what it used to be. Trainerspace was so good and this is beyond horrible. I feel like I have to share a towel with another member. Very dirty. Rude staff.
