Except, for today. I went into the store and saw that the one salesperson was helping another customer so I walked around to the lipstick side and begin looking at the colors. I fully expected a salesperson with all smiles to come over, offer to let me try some colors on, make recommendations, and try to sell other product. Instead I got: Salesperson "Uh, did you need something?" Me: "Yeah I was looking for some lipstick" Salesperson "Do you know what you want or are you still looking or....?" *Throws up hands in expasarated gesture* Me: I want this one. And I'd also like to look at some lip glosses. Salesperson: Well lipgloss doesn't go with that lipstick. Me: Ok.....I'll just take the lipstick then. She proceeds to stomp over to the counter and tell me my total. I ask about the price of some other product and she told me, but didn't ask if I wanted it. I briefly considered flouncing off ala Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman yelling about comission, but instead I took my lipstick and left. Will I buy Clinique again? Yes.
