Since moving here this past year, I have seen improvement in this store. (Possibly new store manager?) While the store is a little run down (and sometimes smelly) I can see a lot of hard work that has gone into merchandising and keeping up with current trends despite limited resources. The staff is consistently kind and helpful and the store is kept as tidy as possible. During a recent trip, the registers/card readers were down. The sweet girl at the register maintained composure through grumpy customers and having no assistance in an overwhelming time. I come here for hodge podge stuff like binders and organizational things for work, things to hang on the wall in my house, kitchen gadgets, shower curtains, and the occasional clothing item and shoes. Finding something that I like is hit or miss. Hitting up the household clearance section is a MUST!

About 6 or 8 weeks ago, I purchased a plastic golf ball shag tube for $20. I asked a clerk if the…read moremechanism for keeping the golf balls was sufficiently sturdy, whcih he assured me it was. Last week the mechanism broke off and I went back to the store. I had the tube, showed it to 2 employees. One said he couldn't help me as I had paid cash and there was no record of the purchase. The 2nd asked me what I had thought by using a tube for plastic golf balls for real golf balls. He even brought me a kid's tube, loaded with plastic ball--and which was clearly not the same produce at what I purchased--and told me they would not give me a store credit. Apparently, they don't sell the tube I purchased any more. The treatment I received is unacceptable and over a $20 store credit not only has Golf Galaxy lost me as a regular customer, but I will tell people who ask me about Golf Galaxy to go somewhere else. Short-sighted employees do more harm to a business that shows up on a balance sheet. Bye Bye, Golf Galaxy.
