Hairball stuck to the bathroom windowsill

Stayed here with family for a family reunion. The chalets are dirty, when we arrived there were M&Ms and hair ties on the floor, so it had not been cleaned which is disturbing during a pandemic. Also the blinds are all broken, the furniture is outdated and broken, there are ants in the kitchen and hair stuck to the walls in the bathroom.

This is the window in our room no blackout curtain :(

We stayed here for a gambling trip. The cool thing is you call for a ride to the casino and they come pick you up at your door like a taxi. If you want luxury don't stay here. However they are mostly clean and contained for a weekend stay. If your going gambling you can bring sandwich or breakfast stuff to cook or make a snack -full size fridge and stove. The bed is a double and bring your own blankets and pillows. The air-condition is working real well. I woke way too early because there are no black out curtains and the sun brightly shining in my eyes-The bed makes racket when you move around. Love having the additional living area. I would stay again if coming to gamble at the casino.

    Large pull throughs.

Nice RV resort. Long pull throughs. You can stay hooked up. Cable. 50amp. $20 per night, AARP or Good Sam's discount. And if you play enough, they'll comp your stay. They have shuttle service to and from the casino. 25 miles north of I-10. Great place to stay for a night or two.

Dirt & rust on top of refrigerator

I stayed for my dogs. Wouldn't do it again. I got two of the pet-friendly chalets. They were both very well worn and not very well maintained. It was so bad that I found myself pleasantly surprised when I found things that worked. The noise from the AC unit is horrible -- very loud. The curtains and blinds in the living room do not block light at night, but it doesn't matter because the fold out sofa was so uncomfortable it made me think of a cot in a concentration camp. But the bed was also not comfortable and was so noisy, sounded like it had a plastic cover on it -- but it didn't. Now on the other hand, the Coushatta Casino was gorgeous, clean and well maintained. The Red Shoes RV Resort doesn't get the attention it needs.

They have the nicest people! So friendly and accommodating. The RV Resort & the shuttle, they are so friendly! Love the large sites.

Overhyped, constant loud music , too…read moreexpensive....but probably a perfect place for unsupervised kids and their day-drinking 30/40-something parents who still yearn for that obnoxious Disney-esque experience without the rides or Mickey. The good: level, wide, concrete pads with decent utility hook-ups. Get a site as far away from the pool area as possible for your own sanity, and go on a local swamp boat tour.

Swamp Tour, Tabasco Museum, Jungle Gardens, Baton Rouge's Zoo, Cajun Dome (for concerts), and the place have been friendly & pleasant. The resort has pools, a dog park, golf cart rentals, cabins, a well-stocked store and their customer service, in the office & at the bar, are amazing. Professional and friendly staff. The work-out area is adequate. All areas are well maintained and provide a relaxing environment. Every store, restaurant and other necessary utilities are all within a very reasonable distant from the resort. Great value for their price point. Highly recommend 5 out of 5!! The restaurant located next to the resort is Crawfish Town and we highly recommend it, as well. Bobby & Krista Chandler, Arizona

Lovely property! Gravel parking lot to park in, and Brenda will offer to help carry you/your stuff…read moredown to the campsites. There was also an unloading spot that you could drive your car down to and she also let us borrow a wagon to haul our stuff from the car for the campsite. The campsites are close by each other so it can get loud when it's really full, but I didn't mind that - I almost felt like we had neighbors lol but if you are wanting something more private, please keep that in mind. There was a flushable toilet with a running sink and a small mirror. There's also a pavilion with some picnic tables and lights at night if you wanna play cards there. There was a porter potty near the campsites so that was another option for the bathroom aside from the flushable toilet that was just a little bit of a walk closer to the parking lot. Multiple water/dishwashing stations with big sinks (huge plus!) Firewood was five dollars a bundle and we ran through four in one night! (Bundles are kinda small.) We did have an electric campsite, which was just one outlet (it did have an extension cord attached to it, so if I would've known this, I would've brought some lights to hang up.) The fire pit is pretty big and it comes with a cooking grate. There is also lots of trees to hang up hammocks on. The tent pad was pretty big but I did ask for a campsite that could fit 3 tents - I saw some that were a lot smaller so you will just have to let her know what you want. We had site #8 - I would stay there again. We paid $98 for an electrical campsite for two nights with four people and four bundles of firewood. Not too bad. We didn't have too much of a problem with bugs, but I would definitely bring some bug spray next time. We did have some fire ants next to the fire, but they didn't get in our food. We also saw a good bit of spiders but you're in the woods so what do you expect lol. You're also only 15-20 minutes away from some great hiking trails! We went to Clarke Creek in Mississippi. There's another closer to the campsite I believe. Anyways, i'd come back here!

I love this place. Always nice to take a long walk to clear your mind, be around nature, or…read moreexercise.
