It's a great little family friendly place to eat that felt very relaxed. The staff were friendly and helpful regarding the menu and recommendations. Most of the menu is gluten free so ordering was a smooth process for me. I ordered a pound of beef brisket (they allow you to pick if you want fatty or lean so I asked for a mix of both), a side of their slaw, a side of fries, and a large smoked pickle. As soon as I ordered I saw them put the fries into the fryer so they were hot and crispy when I got them. The brisket was seasoned well and had a nice decently tender texture. The slaw had a bright freshness and crunch to provide contrast to the meal. The smoked pickle was massive. I finished it, but I think most people would be better off splitting the pickle with a friend. I love the variety of sauces that are available here so I tried all of them. I particularly enjoyed the Alabama white sauce and the Georgia mustard sauce. I highly recommend Redwood to all meat lovers.
