We were all excited and looking forward to a relaxing Sunday playing around of golf. When we came in we signed up to golf nine holes. My son is 13 years old and has only been golfing about a year . When we got to the first hole there was a group of three gentleman that we waited on. We waited about 20 minutes for them to all play the first hole. Once they were finished we were able to start. When we got to the second home we had a dark-haired woman who was working that day come around and tell us that we were going to slow. My husband he tried to explain that they would call first in front of us and we needed to wait on them before we could go to the next hole. She also made a comment about how Sunday is not the day for teaching golf. We rushed through the second hole and I didn't even take my turn. When we got to the third hole once again we were sitting there for about 15 minutes waiting for the gentleman in front of us. I was extremely annoyed that we had rush the second hole and I had lost out on my turn only to sit and wait for the people that were in front of us. I wasn't angry at the people in front of us and I didn't believe it was their fault I was upset with the rude woman who came over and basically yelled at us. around the fifth hole, a different woman came over and commented again That we were going to slow. She also made a comment that I was walking in front of my son before he took his shot. The reason I was walking in front of my son before he took a shot is because I knew he could not hit the ball very far. She stopped my dad to tell him what I was doing wrong and my dad tried to explain the situation to her. And then she came over and me and interrupted my husband shooting to talk to us about it. After the fifth hole I stopped playing. I was annoyed that we were rushed when they were people in front of us going just a slow and we were waiting on them. I was annoyed that our game has been interrupted twice to be scolded by the employees. I had spent $100 on the round of golf between the four of us and all I wanted to do was simply enjoy my Sunday morning. Instead I left annoyed I had played only five holes out of the nine holes, my son was rushed, my husband was extremely upset that his one day off a week was spent at a course like that. My husband and I are members at Quail Hollow country club and we wanted to try I different golf course that was out by my dads house. We had plans to go to the wineries afterwards. I would never in 1 million years recommend anybody to golf at Erie Shores golf course. It had to be the single most annoying round of golf I have ever played. my dad has been playing golf for over 20 years, my husband has been golfing for over 10 years, and I have been golfing for five years so I am very well aware of golf etiquette. And the way we were treated so rudely by the employees there and how we were rushed was unacceptable. I most definitely will never return to that course again and anybody I play golf with in the future I will let know how we were treated and recommend that they never step foot on that golf course either. It was a complete waste of money and of our Sunday morning.

It's really doesn't drain well if it rains and the fairways are weedy and the greens are meh.There is just nothing special here " a bad day here is better than a good day at work" I guess sums it up. I guess the most enjoyment I got from playing here is the fact that I've played with some special people that were in my life at the time so that make me smile, otherwise its just a step above a hay field that would better used for growing grapes since this is the beginning of wine country. If you must play and you find yourself in the middle of nowhere play it otherwise drive a little further down the road.

Had my wedding there on October 25th 2014 after another place to be unnamed canceled the month…read morebefore. We went there saw the place and booked it on sight we loved how it looked with its beautiful chandelier. The day of the wedding we were allowed full use of the beautiful changing rooms where we had the hair stylist come in. Now we had the wedding and the reception there and both were perfection. The food was soo good but we had two special orders that came out nearly at the end of dinner service that was frustrating but all the other stuff that they did for us more then made up for that one minor slip up. Now truly the venue is beautiful, the food was delightful, but the true highlight of this place is the staff they are worth the five stars alone. The bartender we had was funny, nice, and mixed one hell of a good drink ( his Long Island ice tea on the beach so good and strong). The wonderful girls who waited on us not only helped serve food at the buffet, helped decorate, helped take things out to the car, and also kept a watchful eye on the guests (stopping a theft) but could not stop saying how lovely it was and how nice every one looked. Then the amazing event coordinator she was there helping with everything and was such a pleasure to work with! I plan to go to their restaurant soon! First of all they closed the resort and sold the course to a mega corp that doesn't care about it. And all that's left is dining, bar, and pool. The pool is run of the mill except they close whenever they feel like it, even when they're supposed to be open. Found that out the hard way. The dining... is just not good. Five frozen shrimp from Lucky's dropped on a plate for $18 and they call it shrimp cocktail. Drinks made by someone who doesn't even know how to make basic cocktails, and the food was served on paper plates and plastic cups. The service staff is made up of clueless kids and people who look like they just fell out of a trailer. My husband asked for a merlot and was told "we only have red or white" and then they brought him a glass of rose from a box. Literally 1985 flock of seagulls hair on a coughing cigarette of a woman was our waitress. The bar was full of drunken women screaming at each other. The whole thing was totally unappealing.
