The nearest parking is the free car park behind Tesco's store, a few minutes walk away. The facade of the pub looks old fashioned - the white and wooden beam appearance looking a little grimy and decayed. It is definitely weather worn and aged. The windows appear dark, are often stopped up with posters advertising local bands etc and it generally has an uninviting look about it. There is a side door where there is a step up into the building. The interiors are comfortable but again are aged. The pub has a regular local crowd but visitors are welcome. The pub is marked with a blue plaque for historical interest and is visited by tourist groups as they view the area.

I didn't notice any food although there were snacks. It was packed on a Saturday night as someone was having a birthday, but once they left there were seats. It's not been open long, but seems to be a little diffferent from the other pubs nearby which are more traditional. Also dog friendly.
