The last week has been a whirlwind and as I write this I am sitting in a rest stop off 85 with my kitten in tow. He's amazing. I've managed to train him so he loves riding in cars. I always had a contact number in case something happened and I needed to speak to someone no matter the time or day. The shelter is always clean and the animals are well cared for. I never seen any animal in the shelter that was uncared for. Their adoption form shows you that they care who adopts their animals. The employees are professional, friendly, understanding and caring. Tiffany the manager is the person I've been dealing with for many years and I never had a complaint about her. She's sincere about her job. The manager before her wasn't alway pleasant but she did care for the animals. Beverly the lady that answers the phone has always been professional. I will continue to bring my TNR cats to the shelter. That project is a great help to keep the kitten population down. It's worth the money. I read some negative reviews and just want to say don't always let them influence you.

I met Keri when I was looking for a house and we immediately bonded over our love of animals. As…read moretime went on and we remained in contact, she would show me the new rescues and keep me up to date on them as well as checking on how my own cats were doing. I eventually adopted a kitten (Diana Ross) and she matched our personalities perfectly. Unfortunately, one of my cats unexpectedly passed away around the time the litter was getting fixed and she let me meet love bug Smokey Robinson where I immediately fell in love. We let him heal and my house to calm down before she brought him over and we immediately bonded, another perfect match and it was great to keep a brother and sister together (for better or worse because they are crazy now). You can tell seconds within meeting these two that their love for animals is immense and they are willing to do so much for them. They provide the best care and only have the animal's beat intentions in mind. It's not about the adopter, it's more about the adoptee as it should be. I highly recommend them whether you're ready to provide a fur-ever home or get a new home.

The woman who took us on the "tour" of the facility and oversaw our visit was extremely bossy and asked for my donation to the center the second we walked in the door. Very disappointing.

Was looking at Petfinder just now and was reminded of the poor experience I had with this shelter a…read moreyear ago. I wanted to write a review then but couldn't find them on Google Maps or Yelp. Maybe they don't exist so people can't tell the truth about them. A year ago, I emailed them applying for a corgi and whoever manages their email is just plain unprofessional. I explained my POV and instead of them responding politely, they typed in caps trying to yell at me or something. Then assumed I have "no idea what they're getting into" just because I never had a corgi before. It really frustrates me that some shelters requires you to have that breed experience to be able to adopt that breed. As I explained in the email, I have done many years of research on corgis. I also have other breed experience in the past and have been a dog foster. Yet, they just disregard what I said and just got ignorant. After reading the other reviews, it looks like they usually lead you on and waste your time. So guess they won't let you save a dog's life even with the "right" experience.

This list of vets are given rules for charges BUT they never actually ensure that those vets follow those charges OR make sure that those vets are not allowed to charge other outragous fees. The vet office I went to charged me over $500 in fees including an over the weight charge by $50 due to my puppy being 5lb over (the foa site says the vet is only allowed to charge $2/lb over). I wrote an email to Friends of animals about this vets upcharges over 2 weeks ago and go zero response. I had previously gone to The Spay & Neuter Center of New Jersey which only charged $400 TOTAL out the door price with sutures that disolved and did an amazing job, but they are over an hour from me. I ended up spending over $700 using Friends of animals "low cost" neuter at a rude vet office 10 mins from me. What a joke. I don't understand how they are allowed to keep this scam up.
