The fried rice looked generic and nothing special; but the pad see ew looked too good to resist. The chicken wings were crispy and nicely seasoned. The pad see ew was as good as it looked; super flavourful and delicious. The creamy chicken and mushroom pasta is super creamy and delicious, one of my favourites. And wow their chips are like McDonald's quality - thin and salty. Overall I highly recommend stopping by but don't bother if it's packed with people as it usually is.

I ordered a stir-fried bitter melon and beef, served with white rice. It was the best way to compare with Tim's Barbecue Kitchen nearby, since that's what I often order. Taste-wise, it was better (probably because the chef yelled out and asked if I wanted a pinch of fresh chili, which I accepted. Portion-wise, better. At $9, with a can of drink, it was also economically better than Tim's BBQ, who charge $10 but give you a small bowl of corn soup. I was hoping it could cost around 50c to $1 cheaper, but it's not a bad deal.

To this he retorted that he would not be able to survive without regular visits to his local Persian supermarket... And so less than a week later I walk by a brand new addition to the Hornsby community. It was pretty small, and some of the items I think I might be able to get at other shops, but admittedly I am no expert on this type of food. That said, when I saw a bottle of sour cherry jam, I had to have it. I love a good sour cherry. Especially if it is in a German strudel... or ... as it would seem... on toast with a bit of peanut butter... :-) I know right... I am all class. :-) In any case, if this is something you are seeking out, and you are in the area, this is going to be one of your only options. They have only been open for 3 weeks so far, so are still filling out their stock base, but it is always great to be able to find different types of foods (at least I think so).
