It's funny how the University of Sydney also has a Uni Brother's Kebabs and Pizza shop. They have huge servings of pide here, which you get in literally 5 seconds flat. But of course that depends on how long the line is. Usually lunch times in the Wentworth building means this place is packed and the line snakes around people's tables even. But if you have enough time in your lunch break, the pides are so worth it. Their pides are even a little cheaper than the ones you get at UTS shop, only costing $3.50 if you're an access member. Gone are the days of my friends scabbing my access card to take advantage of the cheaper deals (they have photos on them now), but if you have a friend nice enough to buy it for you, maybe you will.

Ordered the fried chicken family pack (8 pieces of fried chicken, medium chips, choice of veggies or sides, and a 1.25L) not for a family but TWO people...for $31 Fatasses unite! The medium sized chips were definitely not medium...they encompassed a whole takeaway box. I was meant to order a salad (to be healthier of course,) but I misread the combo as veggies + salad, not one or the other. Ended up getting potatoes+ham, mushrooms, and a cheesy cauliflower. The chicken was really good, definitely similar to KFC but better. My only wish is that they have a spicy version. Pretty awesome joint for a cheap and unhealthily awesome feed.

Inferno is a licensed venue offering a great range of alcoholic beverages to accompany your meal including a good range of beer, which is perfect when smashing or trying to smash one of their burgers. The menu supplying a magnitude of choice whith crazy burgers, loaded shakes, gelato, salads and as the name suggests items from the grill including steak, chicken and fish. The burgers here are huge, make sure you bring your appetite. The lord of the fries was a monstorous stack made of some mouthwatering slow cooked pulled beef marinated in a southern style smokey BBQ sauce, with some thick cut chips and a solid serve of melted cheese. This was ordered as a combo and came with a side of their thick cut chips, some of the best we have had. The chicken burgers are some of the best going around with a favourites being the clucking pig a fried chicken boheimeth and the honey badger, a tasty grilled chicken burger assembled with slaw and a flavoursome honey mustard sauce. We also shared a salad: brown rice with corn kernels and sun dried tomato a good option if you are after something healthy to eat. We could not go past their loaded shakes with the Caramello Koala granbing our attention. Being a fan of the chocolate, this shake was a must and did not disappoint. As mentioned, the servings are very generous and this shake could be considered a meal in itself. We thank inferno for their hospitality and for their vision in creating some solid burgers shakes.

I came here for the burgers, and there's a custom Fatties Burger Appreciation Society list as long as your arm with all kinds of wild stuff (the Boss Hogg has crumbed mozzarella) but I tried their most famous creation, The Clucking Pig. The thing that stands out at this place is the quality of ingredients, and the care put into making each dish. The fried chicken was HUGE, like brontosaurus size, and piping hot with lovely crisp skin. The crunchy slaw, the aoili, the chilli sauce. Lots of thought has gone into this, and the result is astonishing. The owner Anthony stopped by out table for a chat. This is a guy that genuinely cares about his customers, and he's crafted a one-stop family place that has something for everyone, from the fresh salads to the sticky glazed pork ribs to the char-grilled BBQ chicken. Everything looks sumptuous, everything's crazy fresh, and the prices are amazing. In your face, $20 gastropub burgers that I could have made at home. Oh and beers and ciders are $5. Yup. Oh, and he makes his own gelato, the kind that has crumbled up Crunchies on top. A proper Rennaissance man. I hear he used to be a banker. Special shout-out to the home-made chilli sauce. Spin me around and call me Mary, I would drink a cup of this stuff. Don't dare me, I'LL DO IT. In the interests of full disclosure: a colleague was introducing me to this place and my burger was comped.

I am the furthest from a vegetarian that you could get (I had ribs for lunch today,) so I was pretty skeptical about how a veggie burger would taste...my skepticism was unfounded because I have to admit it was a pretty good burger. I ordered an original Big Burger meal with no mustard and soy bacon. I thought blasphemy, bacon cannot be soy...but I was the blasphemous one for doubting the Lord (of the Fries.) For the fries I had the original fries (chunky + sweet potato available,) ordered Belgian mayo and Vietnamese mayo (spicy chili) on the side. The Belgian mayo was alright, but the Vietnamese mayo was bomb.com. The fries are double cooked and definitely some of the better fries I've had in Sydney...my favourite fries have been from Ogalo's, but Lord of the Fries gives it a run for its money...I will need to do some more taste testing with their other sauces. If you've been to America, I'd say that Lord of the Fries reminds me of a vegetarian Five Guys since the fries are very similar in taste and quality (minus Cajun fries) and they both offer burgers and hot dogs. The nostalgia may have influenced my review a bit...so take that into consideration. If you don't want to wait in a queue for a super long time, go in the arvo or after their official launch on Aug. 29th. Praise the Lord (of the Fries!!!) ***Update: I went again to try their hot dogs and ordered the Chicago dog. If you're a fan of hot dogs and a carnivore I would skip the hot dog and get the burger, it tastes bland and it's a bit "off," most likely missing the meat taste. If you're a vegetarian and really want a hot dog then order to your hearts content.

If you're having trouble finding this, it is located in front of a mall. We got the Beef Tiger Pie and the Chicken Pie n Peas. My feelings are a little mixed...these are far from authentic and I'm pretty sure there are better places out there since this is a chain. I didn't like the dry texture of the pies and the meats were definitely not of high quality, even though I don't expect too much for about $5 a pie. I really enjoyed the mashed potatoes and gravy on the Tiger Pie. The beef, not so much--it tasted very cheap. This was a lot better than the Chicken Pie n Pies, which was bland--the mushed peas didn't help much. The lovely people working the stand also gave me a sample of their chili dog. If you like spicy, you may like it. Not sure if the sausage is used for normal Australian hot dogs, but I wasn't a fan. Not terrible for a cheap bite, but I'm definitely opened to having a meat pie again.
