Rented from Omni over 10 years ago, and like others said as soon as Red Dot took over not only has service gone down, they raised rent every year for the past three years. They raised it another $50 in July, the second price increase in a year. Please avoid at all costs unless you really enjoy paying high prices for nonexistent service. read more

Called customer service because current advertised rate is approximately 50 dollars less than rate I was paying; refused to change rate unless I cancelled my unit and moved in to another. No onsite service or personnel. Poor upkeep. read more

AVOID at all cost! I have an enormous list of issues with Red Dot but will try and highlight the most severe. As a long-time customer of the previous owner (Omni Storage), we had great service without any issues, until Red Dot Storage took over. After Red Dot Storage took over, the apparent business plan was to cut costs beyond what any successful business should ever do. Issues: They removed ALL on-premise garbage cans including the dumpster. Raised the thermostat on all the inside storage units to 78' degrees with an OUTSIDE temp over 100' degrees. Removed the previous on-site Manager from the premises, no emergency help or security, etc. Decided to lock all the bathroom doors along with taking down the old bathroom signs, which has led to movers and customers urinating outside and even worse, defecating on the ground (pictures to prove it). Implemented a policy to REMOVE all moving carts that are left in the aisles by customers, basically punishing other customers from using the moving carts because of someone not putting the cart back in the approved area. Took the complimentary water fountain out and replaced it with a vending machine that was NEVER stocked....still empty. Sliding doors were broken and 2 sets of glass doors have completely come off the track for a week or more without anyone addressing the issue. Due to the above issues, we noticed strangers loitering in the storage facility, rats and roaches were spotted in the hallways, some were running under the roll-up doors into customer units. Trash and litter can now be seen on the outside and inside premises, along with the above-mentioned smell of urine and human waste. I have more but will stop here. Any doubt of what I just said? No problem, I have pictures and video clips of EVERYTHING I just mentioned. We have moved out of 1 unit and almost out of our other unit. read more

After renting for years from Omni, Red Dot took over the Slidell storage. Within 6 months I left. Not kept clean, lights turn off while inside facility, no one on property for emergency or even close by to come to help for emergency, customer service is of no help, will charge different prices even though on website it states price, the list goes on. Moved out from Red Dot to a facility that cares about their customers. read more

DO NOT RENT HERE! This company has the absolute worst customer service I have experienced lately. In the middle of my move one of their faulty locks got stuck in the door and we couldn't open it. There is no one onsite to help you. When you call customer service they are extremely rude and uninvested in addressing your concern. So after making sure I have taken time from work and scheduled movers I am unable to complete my move because there is no one available to help and she told me their facility supervisor hasn't made his schedule for the week so I have to wait 5 days to even get on his books to get this resolved. I am now holding up my construction job, I have to pay movers twice, and these people do not care. We have far too many options for storage in our community to have to choose a place that can deny access to your belongings when you need them most. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere please.
