I have not been to red cinema in quite a while. In the past my experience has always been a good one. Today, was very very different. Immediately when walking in there was no less than 4 staff members standing around in an empty theater doing nothing while there was popcorn and trash ALL over the floor. The counters were all disgusting, sticky and trash everywhere. There was no popcorn made and when asked they said they "might" make some "soon". No urgency to make popcorn for paying customers. The slushie machines looked like they hadnt been made in years. They were literally grey like moldy. We went into the theater. It was absolutely disgusting. Every chair was worn down and had trash and sticky or buttery residue. Half the chairs the recline feature didnt even work. The sound quality was awful. Could barely hear it. We asked staff to turn it up and nothing changed. Shortly after the sound died completely. We told the staff and it was "fixed" but it was still at a very low register. Possibly even lower than before. We could hear every one around us inside and outside, and the theaters on either side. Literally could hear everything BUT the movie we came to see. The bathrooms were not clean. It was overall an awful experience and I will not be back. It saddens me to see such a beautiful place declined so horribly. read more

I wanted to support a local theatre and decided to check Red out. The tickets were pretty cheap (although they were matinee so I'm not sure how much tickets usually are) and the popcorn and drinks were much cheaper than some of the bigger theaters. It's nice that they have some local beers on draft too! The theatre itself was what you'd expect from a smaller theater. There are a few things that are pretty dated. The seats look like they are in pretty bad shape but they were actually surprisingly comfortable. The only real downside to my experience was that the sound proofing in my theater was pretty bad. I could hear almost everything going on in the theater next to us, especially during some of the quieter scenes of my movie. read more

This place needs a major deep clean. I can appreciate a runs down theatre in exchange for a cheap matinee ticket- but this place was just plain filthy. The cupholders looked like they had never ever been cleaned. Our feet stuck to floors. The seats have been stripped of all the pleather- which is fine- but there were a few that had some mess that could be easily wiped away. We moved multiple times, trying to find a seat that didn't make our skin crawl. The service was also pretty bad. The theatre was ice cold and the lights stayed on for the first 15 mins of the movie until I went and found someone and asked for them to be turned off- then it still took another 15 mins until they actually were turned off. I will pay a little more for a better experience next time. read more

I've only been to Red Cinemas a few times, but let me tell you--$8 for a weekend movie ticket?! That's a deal I didn't know I needed. Seriously, for two tickets, a large popcorn, and a large drink, I paid just $30 total. That's practically free compared to some other places charging double for just tickets! One unique thing: you have to buy your tickets at the concession stand. Clever move--nothing makes you crave popcorn like staring at a menu while buying your tickets. The two people working the stand were friendly and quick, which made things easy. Now for the experience: the movie started on time (shoutout to skipping the endless previews), and while the seats have seen better days, they were still comfortable enough for a couple of hours. However, the girl checking tickets? Not exactly bringing the friendly vibes. And when we were leaving, she was sitting on the floor behind the door like she was ready to jump-scare us. Definitely wasn't expecting that! Overall, Red Cinemas is a solid spot if you're looking for cheap tickets and a chill vibe. I'll take slightly worn seats and a little rudeness if it means keeping my wallet happy. Would I go back? Absolutely--for $8 a ticket, you'll see me there again soon! read more

Yikes! What happened to this place? It used to be great. It's been a while since I've been here, but looks like it's been about the same amount of time since management or the owner have been there too. Not clean, half the bathroom sinks were out of order, the small theater we were in was filthy. We were there to see Wicked and the 2 movie previews before it were for the new Scream and a movie called the Threesome. Not appropriate movie trailers whatsoever to be shown before a PG rated movie with my 6 year old. We won't be back, Golden Ticket in Brassfield is 10000x better. read more

Counter top when checking in was covered in sticky streaks of what I'd assume to be half ass cleaned drink spills. When entering the theater, my shoes stuck to the floor so badly that my shoe came off my foot. The floor was like that everywhere. It wasn't just one spot. Absolutely LOVE this staff!! My mother-in-law lost her wedding ring! (38 years of marriage) We had no idea where it was. We had ladies day outing here the day before so, I called Red Cinemas Greensboro location and spoke with the manager James he told me a ring was found and asked me to describe the ring he was even awesome enough to send me a text image so that I could confirm before making the almost 2 hour drive, this is far beyond EXCELLENT customer service, this is life changing customer service!! The honesty, integrity and helpfulness of James and his staff is absolutely outstanding!! So thankful for this staff God is great! read more

Disgusting theater! Took our 2 & 3.5 year olds to see Zootopia on Nov 29th for the 11am showing, first showing of the day and all the trash cans outside the theater walking in were overflowing with trash. Once we got into theater 15, there was trash everywhere all over the floors from the day before and nothing had been cleaned, jt was disgusting! The theater was FREEZING-no heat the entire movie our kids hands were ice cold! And the part I'm most upset about is the inappropriate trailer for Five Nights at Freddy's that's RATED R and played right before the movie started with little many little kids present, completely unacceptable! This was another example of the trash Greensboro has become! read more

Sadly was disappointed with this experience. The movie itself was great, but I probably wouldn't go to this theater again. When we entered the theater for our movie it was very unclean. I don't know if you're a parent like me or if you can relate to this or not, but my 9 y/o despises being in the house. So, to be the best dad I can, I decide to go take him to the movies. It was on a Friday afternoon around 4:15pm to see a 4:30pm showing of Minions. It was one of few kids shows that I also wanted to see. The matinee tickets was $7.45, regardless of age, which was the cheapest in the area. Although I had been here before several times, I hadn't noticed all the artwork on the walls. There is even a yellow brick road on the sidewalk leading to the entrance from the back, where there is additional parking. They have a thing at the bottom of the entrance door where you can use your foot to open the door. The right side door was locked. I had only went on that side to see more of the artwork. On this day, we had to buy tickets at concession stand. Of course, you can buy online but there is typically a convenience fee. At the concession stand, I observed them to sell craft beer, pretzels, slushes , beer on tap, various candies, popcorn, hotdogs, burgers, etc. My son opted to get a pretzel and I got a medium popcorn and drink. I got my son a small drink. The pretzel was $5.50. A small drink was $4.50. It's $1 for each size up. If you want a slushie, it's $1 more than the cost of a regular/fountian drink. The popcorn is $5.50 for small, $6.75 for medium, and $8.75 for large. The only combo they have is for a large popcorn and drink for $14.50. The tickets and the food was about $32, which isn't bad. I stopped by the restroom before going to the assigned theater. The restroom was clean. There was a baby changing station along with air dryer and paper towels. They have hand sanitizers in the stalls and above the baby changing station that you can use a paper towel with to clean prior to use, which is pretty cool. The trashcan was in an odd spot as it was towards the exit versus actually in the restroom. Our movie was in theater 10. We were the only ones there. I think they start their movies on time, lol. We walked in around 4:35 and the movie had already started. This theater had stadium seating that didn't recline. The seats are pretty close to each other. So if it was packed, it would be difficult to get past people. Overall, I recommend and I'd return. read more

In the words of Cher, this theater is a full on Monet. In this case, it's attractive from a distance but sloppy on the inside! The staff was nice so this is more so the care of this place or at least speaking on the theater that my movie was in. For the for time ever I relocated theaters mid movie because I was feeling cramped and uncomfortable. Sticky floors. dirty and missing cup holder (inside metal and/or plastic center), seat fabric torn/distressed and substance unknown in the seats. The manager was kind and understanding enough to refund me and apologized. Too bad I didn't get to finish my beer I bought . For this location to be so attractive on the outside the people to make sure that reflects the inside cause someone ain't cleaning and sanitizing like the should be. Super cheap ticket prices and plethora of food options! This is my favorite theater to sneak in snacks and enjoy a day time flick. They offer free movies in the summer for the kids and free snacks for kids, too! I love the graffiti and vibe. Worth the Battleground traffic! read more

this is the closest theater I found so I've been here a few times. parking is usually available and close to the door. The food prices are normal and what you'd expect they do have a nice seating that lays back like a recliner and a place to put your drinks. I am still looking to check out other theater options because I do not care necessarily for where this is located and it does not appeal to my senses with the color theme they've chosen for this theater. there are some pretty cool murals on the outside and that was my favorite part. read more

I mean... I wanted to check out this theater because I'd never been before but I can confidently say today will be my first & last time here. The seats were worn out & broken, the floors were SO sticky, I could see the mold in the ice dispenser of the drink machine and the entire establishment looked dingy & disgusting. (Don't get me started on the bathrooms ) I'm not convinced that anybody cleans this place. It's really a shame because this place could be so nice! And I love the idea of supporting a local theater. What happened to the Red theater? I haven't been to a movie there in a long time and I don't think I will be back. I took my grandchildren to see Moana yesterday and the theater was so dirty. The luxury seats were broken and sticky with spills and trash. The side tables we wiped down with baby wipes because they were dirty and sticky. My recommendation is go to another theater for a movie. read more

My long awaited return to a movie theater. It's not what it used to be-- as it's extremely difficult to not compare what the whole experience used to feel like as a kid, even as a teenager. With that being said, out of all the cinematic adventures I've had the luxury of being a part of.. the latest one means the most to me. You probably don't remember the finer details of your first movie. Heck, it was hard to remember my last movie pre-Covid. But what you do remember is that undeniable joy as you walked into this majestic palace for the first time. You stand in awe of the lights, you feel so tiny in the midst of the cardboard cutouts that stand tall like skyscrapers. The smell of popcorn fills your senses as you open your eyes wide, trying to comprehend what is going on. There's no greater feeling than that-- perhaps, until you embrace and share this moment all over again with your child. The place was clean, seats very comfortable, snacks fresh and the staff was kind. Above all of that, my two year old had the time of her life. Tried to support my local business as opposed to going to the larger chains but RED Cinemas makes it difficult to. Walking in for a Saturday night movie and the popcorn machine is broken, they're out of nachos and you can also expect to pay $4 for a hot dog with stale bread. Better decision to head down over to a chain theater where your food will be fresh. The "luxury seating" they advertise is also not air conditioned and had most of the theater fanning themselves or walking out mid-movie. Your money is better spent elsewhere. read more

Not open at the moment, but this overpriced so called luxury cinema is one of the worst places to see a movie in all of the Greensboro Metropolitan area. Not one of the cinema's 9 screen all have functioning seats, so you have to skip a. Few hear and there ( which I guess is good because of Covid, however they are broken and a fire hazard. Did I mention all of the staff are extremely rude and unable to conjugate a sentence without having to stop to think for a second or two (it must be because they are always high) Don't even get me started on the concessions the popcorn is always stale, even if it was just done popping and the soda always flat. Their hot dogs taste like tofu and this is some of the worst pizza I have ever had and that says a lot because I have eaten at Hungry Howies. Avoid this establishment at all costs. We went to see Dunkirk today, and it was an interesting movie, though switching between 3 or 4 sub-story lines is a bit confusing. The seat with reclining backs and leg rest are very, very nice, but overall the experience was not a pleasant one due to the decibel level of the sound track - in a war movie the noise is almost painful, in other movies I've seen here it almost as bad regardless of the type of film. After all that noise, and nearly $45 spent on 2 tickets, 2 large pop corns, and 2 drinks, I'll wait on movies until I can stream them. We have comfortable recliners, a very large screen TV, plenty of drink choices, pop corn a plenty, and a remote that controls the volume, plus a couple ginger lap cats! read more

We didn't buy concessions, so I'm not sure about their pricing, but our tickets were $7.75 each. Our theatre was small, but we were the only ones in it!
