Extremely disappointed with Five Star Bath Solutions of Arlington…read more My experience with Five Star Bath Solutions has gone from being very positive to extremely frustrating. When we initially had our bathroom remodeled, everything seemed great. We were happy with the finished product and had no complaints about the installation. Unfortunately, about four months after the remodel, we started noticing mold growing in and underneath the caulk along the entire bottom perimeter of the shower, where the walls meet the shower base. This is especially concerning because this is a brand-new bathroom installation. The caulk is still firmly attached, yet mold is appearing underneath and throughout the bottom seam. At the very least, I expect Five Star to come out, inspect the installation, determine what is causing the problem, and properly correct it. The worst part of this experience has been the complete lack of customer service after the sale. I have called the Arlington location multiple times asking for someone to come out and inspect the issue under the warranty. I have not been given an appointment or even received a meaningful response. I also contacted the company's national customer-service/sales line, only to be told that all they could do was send another message to the Arlington office. I then sent a formal written warranty request by email, and I still received no response. That is unacceptable. Five Star advertises a lifetime warranty and emphasizes that its warranty is locally serviced. When you spend a significant amount of money on a professionally installed bathroom, you shouldn't have to repeatedly call, email, and chase the company down just to get someone to acknowledge a problem only four months after installation. I am extremely disappointed--not necessarily because something went wrong, because problems can happen with any installation, but because Five Star has shown virtually no urgency or accountability in addressing the problem. I sincerely hope someone eventually takes responsibility and comes out to inspect and properly resolve this. If they do, I will gladly update this review to reflect how the situation was handled. For now, however, I cannot recommend Five Star Bath Solutions of Arlington based on my experience with their post-installation warranty service and customer support.

Our contractor gave us the name of the rep past clients had worked with (he did not have a strong relationship with he told us that to start) but we decided to try because of the selection they have. We were very early in our project and had not begun demo yet. After literally 6 weeks of calling and emailing and never getting a call back I went in person super frustrated and asked for someone new to work with. Even just making a phone call was so stressful because their call system sends to other cities every time and never to Fort Worth- such a time waste. We were assigned a new rep. She was very nice to work with in person, but again nailing her down was difficult. Emails would go unanswered for so long for simple questions on getting things ordered. We ordered our kitchen sink, faucets, and some hardware with them. I wanted to also order all cabinetry hardware with them, but when its SO hard to get an appt or email back I decided we couldn't give them anymore business. Chip at Pierce Hardware is amazing if you're looking for top notch customer service and someone who knows the trade well! Today we got a letter in the mail from a 3rd party saying that we/our contractor had not paid our bill with Ferguson from back in April and we were over due. Such a nightmare, it was all paid at time of purchase. Their system is a mess and causes such unnecessary stress. Just avoid them!

Cal and Charles showed up at 8:00am ready to work!!!! They covered all my furniture in the bedroom next to the shower install and covered my floors. It was scheduled for Monday at 6:00 PM, and I received a call after my appointment time informing me that the representative was experiencing car trouble and would be delayed. Subsequently, I received another call indicating that he would not be able to attend, and I was required to reschedule. Therefore, I rescheduled for Tuesday at the same time, this time with a different representative. At 5:52 PM, I received a call stating that the other representative had a flat tire and that I needed to reschedule once more. NOT ON YOUR LIFE! If they cannot even attend for a consultation and estimate, I have serious doubts about their reliability in completing the job. DO NOT waste your time!!! I never got a solid plan, they hard-sold me high, promising we would reduce it, just to make me sign the contract. (my first mistake) Of course, those meetings to discuss my priorities and reduce the budget, never came. My dream wasn't realized as they either vetoed, forgot or bumbled each feature of my design. Examples: I have a wavy wall, it took them days to correct the paint throughout the house, they flat refused to match my craftsman trim, they forgot my vented kitchen hood, vetoed my transom (they don't even know what that is), failed plumbing inspection three times and nearly blew up my house. (I'm not embellishing) Had to install the cabinets twice (ordered incorrectly and hung at the wrong height), the rough plumbing is so poorly done that the knobs don't sit right and turn lop-sided; failed to contain the renovation dust which covered even stuff inside cabinets and drawers throughout the house. The cleaning crew came multiple times and I still had to hire my own at a cost of $360, to get all the ceiling fans, fixtures, floors, etc. finally clear of dust and paint splatters. They scratched my hardwoods and damaged my stove. To top it off, they stopped paying the subs and one of them put a lien on my house, EVEN though, i was up to date on my payment arrangement. (Yes, that's totally legal, for some reason!) The drama continues as I need help correcting some issues that i don't feel I should have to live with. I don't have the energy to upload pics but maybe later. Just trust me; pick someone else. Signed, Exhausted, Angry and Broke

Most importantly, the results were fantastic - truly exceeded our expectations! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to renovate or remodel in DFW.

Had a meeting to get a quote for a bathroom remodel and was quiet thrown off when I was told "well…read morethis is a similar bathroom we did for 70k so if you're not looking to spend that, we're probably not your company". Completely rude. Not to mention, the question that would have made sense preceding that statement would have been: what is your budget? It felt like she made the decision that I was too poor of a project and didn't want to be bothered. Never even received a follow up. If there's a minimum spend or desired clientele, then that should be listed on the website. And your consultants should probably not be in the habit of assuming budgets without actually asking.

Every other contractor, many of the high end designers in Southlake area, priced the cabinets for my kitchen remodel between $20k-$40k. The quote I got back from this place was $89k!?!?! Just for kitchen cabinets! The entire remodel was going to be $200k+ whereas I've signed with someone else for half that price. I recommend going to the showroom, get some ideas then get your pricing from someone else. I definitely don't need kitchen cabinets that cost $89k, even if they will last through an atomic war! :)
