Everything was really good, the initial service and taste of the bingsu was very pleasant and refreshing !!! The only problem I had was the older man, which is who I'm assuming is the store owner, who treated me a little patronizing. My guest and I shared the Mango Bingsu, and after our first bite we really liked it. Unfortunately, the person I went with had a cold sore on their lip which was contagious, so I went up to the front to ask for an extra bowl to split it with her. I went up to the front, and both service workers very obviously ignored me for over five minutes--they were helping make two orders for the two guests in store, so I didn't really mind waiting. It was a long enough time for me to end up scrolling on my phone though. When the older man was done making the orders, instead of greeting me (i'm down looking at my phone because I was ignored after trying to get their attention,) he almost mocks me, waving his hands up, and looking around the store, looking at me and then at our table, almost looking like he was thinking to himself, "what more could you need--you got your dessert, why are you in front of me right now?" I didn't care, I just got off of my own job in customer service and I imagined english isn't his first language, so he probably made the dramatic gesture to get my attention (it didn't, my sister pointed out that he was in front of me.) I even apologized and proceeded to let him know that my guest was ill and asked for the extra plastic bowl. When I asked, he looked at me like I was weird for even asking, said "I can't do that" and looks at the lids, and tries to hand me one, when I already had a lid that I could have already thought to use, except I don't want my guest to be eating out of a dog bowl type dish. I'm not trying to be a Karen--swear--but as someone who works 54+ hours a week in customer service, it was SOOO disappointing to be disrespected that way, especially as I know that I make it a point to be very kind to service workers. I only really ever leave reviews when I really enjoy a place. I was already taking photos when we got our dessert and mentioned to my guest that I was going to support their business with a kind review (not to insinuate that they needed MY help, but I just wanted to do it.) So, overall, this place is really great for a refreshing dessert, especially for bingsu in SCV, but it was so annoying to be treated like a burden to their business just for asking for an extra bowl. It was unkind and stingy. They could have been running low before their next shipment, but a part of customer service worker is to explain that kindly. A refreshing and tasty desert option! So glad a bingsu place opened up near by. It is located in a shopping center with adequate parking. The place is very clean with tables as well as stools along the back. You can order at the counter or the kiosk. We tried the matcha, the mango and the chocolate flavors. The portions were very generous and they give you a lot of toppings. The ice is shaved very fine like snow. I only wish the ice was flavored more like some of the other bingsu places I've been to. Go here. My daughter had been itching for me to take her here, so off we go! This place is clean, courteous, and makes reasonably charged providing a popular overseas brand of Japanese confections. RB uses Anko, which is a sweet red bean paste that is has a subtle sweetness merged with the rich warm "waffleesque" dough. The Anko is the"Red Bean." The "Bungeo-ppang(fish shaped buns/taiyaki" are a tasty, fun, cheap, bite size pastry similar to a mini eclair, that Red Bean specializes in. They are 4 for $5 and get cheaper if you buy more. They come in 4 varieties: custard filled, chocolate filled, red bean(Anko) filled, or sweet potato filled. The beverages available are a delicious variety of teas, lemonades, bobas. I had a blueberry lemonade and it came with blueberry flavoring , fresh blueberries and dried blueberries mixed in it. It was like $7 or so for a drink and well worth it for flavor, quality, and amount. Solid deal! The "Bing-Su" is a shaved ice similar to Hawaiian shave ice, but with milk instead of traditional ice. They layer it with one to two layers of shaved milk ice with wafers or fruit, in a sort of parfait treat. Decadent and fun. The "Ddujounku" was my least favorite being a chilled chewy Dubai chocolate confection and was just a bit too chewy for me, but otherwise was delicious flavor. I also want to point out the staff were very courteous, engaging, and even gave my daughter a special treat while being genuinely courteous and engaging with the patrons. Finally--Korean bingsu in Santa Clarita! This adorable husband-and-wife café is tucked inside the shopping complex next to One Bite Dumpling, and it's such a gem. We tried the mango and strawberry bingsu (both made less sweet). The strawberry was incredibly flavorful and fresh, while the mango had a light coconut touch that made it super refreshing. 3/10/2026: My 94 year old Momma Kiki has been waiting for Red Bean to open for a month, and tonight was our first visit after having dinner next door at One Bite Dumpling. The owner William and I assume his daughter was at the counter (?) could not be more friendly and welcoming! The interior is bright, open and immaculate! They have tables and chairs to dine in if you don't want to take out. I love the way they have their menu items presented on the walls, and they have a large tablet in front for ordering.. it you can still order at the counter "old school" if you prefer. On the menu, they have taiyaki but not the traditional hand-sized type you might have seen before. These are smaller, two-bite taiyaki with assorted fillings and they should all be sampled! They also have a "walnut cookie" with red bean filling that is adorable and delicious when fresh and hot. We shared a small Injeolmi Bingsu and it couldn't be cuter! Their package branding is Tiffany blue with their little fish logo. From their boxes for the taiyaki to the bands around the plastic cups.. and the takeout bags (I neeeed one of those!) they're doing great marketing. The only constructive criticism I could give would be, the taller cylindrical cups for the Bingsu are more difficult to eat from, especially if sharing. I'm used to shallow bowls with a wider top to "dig in"! But it's not a deal breaker. If you're used to Japanese kintoki shaved ice desserts or Hawaiian shave ice, this is a little different. It's shaved fine like snow, but it isn't ice made with water. Bingsu has a blend in it before frozen and shaved, and I like it! Come in, introduce yourself to William and family and say HI! Taste something new and delicious! They're closed on Mondays but are otherwise open until 10pm. read more

The desserts were absolutely delicious. My boyfriend is Korean and is always looking for authentic Korean spots to try in the area, and Red Bean definitely did not disappoint. Cute place. White and wood decor. Menu is small but focused. We ordered the 18 piece taiyaki filled with custard cream for $20. Each mini shaped fish is about 3 inches long and 1 inch thick. Thin crispy waffle shell. We expected custard oozing out instead these were filled with mochi custard. Unexpected and surprisingly fun to eat Best eaten warm. My first time trying Bing Su. I grew up with Chinese shaved ice and Hawaiian shaved ice. This is actually topping all of that thanks to the fact that they make their "snow" with a milk-based mixture and it is incredibly light and refreshing. So far we've tried the Chocolate with normal toppings and (because we begged) woth strawberry toppings and the milk snow texture is just so on point. The toppings for the regular chocolate combo are really sweet, more Americanized like oreo etc but delicious. Chocolate Bing Su but they let us change the toppings to the strawberry which we promptly told them was absolutely even more amazing then the normal chocolate. But, the creamy chocolate of the snow complimented the sweet/tartness of the strawberries and chocolate sauce version even better. So so good. And then there's the Dujjonku, basically a Dubai filling with a chocolate mochi outside. They make it in house and it is AMAZING. I did not need to know about that one haha we have now been here twice in less than a week. Also, which is always a phenomenal plus, it's a family run business and dad, mom abd daughter are all delightful and give wonderful customer service. So fun chatting with them.
