He was hired to remove 6 shrubs, trim hedges, spray some poison ivy, trim a medium size tree and grind a few small 10" or less hedge stumps. He and his son worked 1/2 the day then he had his wife and daughter help with cleanup. During the 5 hour job they worked efficiently, however I was charged over $1000.00 an hour. Yes, David charged me $5500.00 for 5 hours of work. Shame on me for not waiting on the other estimates and shame on this company for taking advantage of a customer who was eager to have a job done. I asked what substantiated the price and no explaination could really be given, only that some companies charge $12k for work.

Tree Lyfe Review - Exceptional Service, Great Price, and Even Better People…read more I had been searching for months to find someone willing to take on a tricky job: trimming significant overhanging limbs from my neighbor's property into mine, as well as removing a tree entangled in power and communication lines...something the city refused to touch. Over that time, I had about ten different people come out for estimates. Some turned the job down entirely, and others gave quotes that just weren't reasonable. We were getting frustrated and about ready to give up. Then, this past Thursday, while driving my son to work, my wife noticed a crew cutting trees in someone's yard. She stopped, asked if they had a flyer, and brought it home to me. It was Tree Lyfe. Expecting the usual runaround, I called the number for an estimate. To my surprise, Mike came out the very next day, right on time. I explained the full scope of the job, and after listening carefully, he gave me a quote that was more competitive than anything I had seen so far. I immediately told my wife. She was a little hesitant at first, wondering if the lower price might mean lower quality. But I asked her how the neighbor's yard looked after their job and she said it looked great. They had even neatly cut and stacked all the debris for city pickup. That sealed it. I called Mike back and asked how soon they could do the job. He said he could get it done that weekend. Sure enough, on Saturday, Mike, Robert, and Jimmy showed up on time and got right to work. Every one of them was incredibly polite and professional. They completed all the cutting in one day, then came back the next day to thoroughly clean up, cut, and stack all the debris. I am beyond impressed with Tree Lyfe. They treated my property with the same care and attention I imagine they'd give their own homes. I took photos and videos while they worked and the results speak for themselves. If you're looking for tree work done right, don't hesitate to give Tree Lyfe a call at 757 740 2098. I've already saved their number and plan to use them again for future projects. Five stars, without a doubt.

They responded quickly with an estimate and evaluation of our needs. The tree was nearly 50' and I was very concerned about letting just anyone cut that tree down, I wanted someone insured, very experienced to be sure no one got hurt plus had the right equipment to get it down safely. We also had outdoor structures out there and I didn't want any of those damaged. Once we decided it needed to come down for safety reasons we were lucky enough to be able to fit into their schedule and have now gotten it taken down. I have never seen such careful guys taking care of all our things, making sure to cause the least amount of disruption to our property as possible. Took less than a day and they cleaned up beautifully!!! Thank you to all the guys for being so sweet, nice and careful, for going above and beyond in taking care of our needs, outstanding job!!!!
