He readily recognized some drainage issues and was sure to address them in our plan/estimate. His team (Jason, Tyler, and one other young man) was hardworking and focused despite challenges with rain and mud. Gary was onsite every day to address any of our questions. We had full trust and they did not disappoint. Upon completion of the job they cleaned our deck and driveway. We will be utilizing his team for more sod. He uses Eagle Bay pavers for his hardscaping. I know they do landscaping also but I did that myself. It's now end of july and the grass is looking great. Some dry and dead spots but that's no fault of his. This goes beyond poor service into what feels like outright theft. What Happened: I initially hired Reed's for prep work on a rental property listing. The work was acceptable, so I signed up for their $130/month recurring service (every 2 weeks for mowing and maintenance). The Problems: The no-shows started immediately. At least four separate times, they simply didn't appear on the scheduled day. When I'd text to ask what happened, the response was always the same: "I have you on the schedule tomorrow." No proactive communication. No acknowledgment of the missed appointment. Just excuses. Rain delays are understandable, but a professional service calls or texts to reschedule. Reed's never did. I have cameras on the property, so I know for certain they weren't coming out. The Real Issue: Despite not showing up, they kept charging me $130 monthly. When I noticed my yard looked terrible and contacted them for end-of-season leaf removal, I got the usual "I have you on the schedule tomorrow" line. No one came. No explanation. Then I was charged another $130 for December with zero work performed. I asked directly what I was being charged for over the last two months. Read receipts confirmed they saw my messages. They never responded. I requested cancellation and a refund for December since no work was done. Complete silence. I had to cancel my bank account to stop the unauthorized charges. Bottom Line: I'm out hundreds of dollars for services never rendered, my yard is a mess, and I have zero recourse because they simply stopped communicating once I questioned the charges. This isn't poor customer service. This is taking people's money and providing nothing in return. I want to support a local small business but cmon. Buyer beware.
