Great store! I don't live near any Red Apple location, but they ship to my area of NC. I've ordered twice off of their very comprehensive website (with video samples of the products): once 2 years ago and again this year for the Semiquincentennial bash (I was around for the bicentennial and now this, so I'm celebrating BIG!!). I paid a bunch but when I see what I get, it is definitely worth the price, especially with membership. They ship to the freight store in Asheville, and I pick everything up. Everything is even better than expected and very "fresh." I would recommend Red Apple to anyone looking for primo fireworks. They are at least as good as any fireworks show in town. read more

My order was shipped to the wrong location....AGAIN!!! 1 hour away from the original location I requested. Red Apple never informed me about the changing of locations either. I sent an email to customer service, and they wrote back -because of location availability they chose to send it somewhere else and to basically just deal with it. This place has everything you need in a fireworks store. They have small fireworks for the little kiddos and they got the big guns for the biggies. It's organized pretty well with height being the main organization. Low to the ground,.medium and high flying. Of course being a responsible parent, we didn't dive much into the high flying. Last week I bought a case of unicorn sampler last week I paid one price and then I went today. It jumped up. almost $60. I just don't really get it. They sell you fireworks and a permit to "legally" do the fireworks. I went to this store, purchased $800+ worth of fireworks, and they point you to a location to do the fireworks. As soon as we exit their parking lot and drive a short distance, we get pulled over by the police for having "illegal fireworks" and they confiscated everything and gave us a $500 ticket for transporting fireworks. Police admit to having someone in the parking lot watching which cars have fireworks and use "speeding" as a reason to pull you over and then say that we had illegal fireworks. We went back to the store after the fireworks were confiscated and were basically laughed out of the store and said "tough luck." Fraud on the highest level... 1 star is way too nice for this awful place. read more

I went to a TNT Fireworks stand for only the second time this past 4th of July and realized there's more consumer ones available. You just gotta know where to look and go. After lighting the stuff I got and getting more into it, my friends and I started planning for Halloween. I began researching fireworks for that particular holiday and went deep down the rabbit hole of Google searches and YouTube videos. I eventually came across one about a road trip to Pahrump, Nevada and all the stores it has, including this one. I checked out the website and went further down the hole of product demo videos and tours of the store. I eventually requested time off from work, made car rental and hotel arrangements, and headed out on Monday 10/25/2021. Wow, the colors in this place! I loved the wide product selection and option of buying a single unit or the case. Much better than the buy one get two free "deal" at Blackjack and Area 51 Fireworks, which really just gets you to spend more money. I don't want to have to buy three of the same thing, or the one item I love and two other ones I sorta like just to get the main thing I really want. Because if you get just the one, you're still going to end up paying the huge mark up amount for it. Since it was within two hours of closing time, I ended up rushing shopping for things a bit. I wish I had taken more time to really browse the shelves. Like a fruit tree nursery, I could spend all day there walking around looking at everything. There were only a couple of things on my list they had and ended up being sadly disappointed that there were a number of others they didn't. Figures it was all the stuff that would've been perfect for Halloween. The ghost star and sun ring rockets, the ghost mansion, green goblin and blueberry moonshine fountains, and the haunted scarecrow and ghost town standard aerials. Plus some of the prices were higher than expected. Like the neon fusion rockets were double the amount I anticipated. I also had some trouble with my credit card at checkout, but luckily it eventually went through. The high purchase amount was probably it. The only other time I've spent around $1,000 at one time, besides for rent, is on a major car repair. The biggest bummer was not getting to meet the cutie pie owner, Doug. I'd like to set off some fireworks with him. The employees working at the time said he usually works at their office in Las Vegas during the off season. Though his brother, Mike, tends to be there and is the main one who does their YouTube videos. I'd like to give them suggestions on other products they can create. Such as a pumpkin shaped Halloween themed aerial cake called a crackle lantern. Not to mention more fruit themed novelties. After all, they did name the company after one. For example, a coconut bomb to go along with the apple bomb barrage cracklers. After checking out of the hotel and getting cheaper than California gas the next morning, I went back and grabbed a few more small things as soon as they opened. I didn't go overboard this time since I used cash thinking I might have issues with my credit card again. I still rushed a bit because I had to get on the road to start the long drive home and ended up forgetting something I wanted to grab. Overall the place was fun to go to, I got a free swag bag with my Yelp check-in, and there's still more I'd like to pick up. I can't wait to go back and get them. Might wait until after New Year's to avoid the holiday crowds. Maybe then I'll get a chance to meet Doug and Mike. read more

I purchased a massive load of fireworks and had a great time on my 4th of July. The store is well staffed, employees gave me good feedback and there was tons of firework stock everywhere. Some of the QR codes attached to each of the fireworks didn't work to show a video link but the ones that did made it great to know what time of fireworks you were getting. Near the 4th of July, the place was open 24 hours a day, which made it convenient on July 2nd @4am for a last min run to pick up more supplies. When it comes to safety, with so many people shopping in the aisle, I feel they do a good job. The place is one big explosive center. I would totally go back again. The customers were excited. Plenty of carts and loaders to gather your stock. Red Apple is my favorite fireworks shopping center to buy. read more

The reason why they lose a star is because Red Apple doesn't explain or disclose to you that you can only light their fireworks on certain days! They will let you pay first and than give you a permit for 5 dollars that explain the days that you can use their launch site. They made it seem like if the launch site was open every day. When I called and asked Red Apple about purchasing fireworks they advised ow "yeah come on down, you can launch your fireworks at our launch site" they made it seem over the phone that you can buy as much fireworks as you can and simply go to their launch site which is supposedly open everyday. Red Apple doesn't explain how things are really suppose to be ran, You can get sighted by the sheriffs department if you light them in Pahrump and the launch site is closed. So basically you can get your fireworks confiscated if you cross county lines. Spent about 400$ bucks on 2 boxes.. PLEASE BE ADVISED... The blockbuster fireworks box sucked... Lots of selection, friendly staff (only one in the store). The shopping experience was not good. No screens were on, the "music" playing was some random gangster rap riddled with foul language. At checkout being a first time red apple plus member I was expecting my $50 credit (nope) I was told it would be a gift card that I could use the next day. Then I asked if we could split the charge into equal payments, nope they don't do that anymore (however the website shows it and the pa announcement said it also). I'm from out of town and drove nearly 1200 miles, not worth it to be swindled like this to buy $600 in fireworks. Wish I would have gone to Area 51 instead. Logan helped me with explaining everything from Cakes, to mortars, to even rockets. He knows his stuff and definitely has good recommendations for those who are looking for "cheap trills" or budget friendly options. They have screens on every isle that gives an idea of what each boxes look like when lit and also QR code's on the packaging that you can view on your phone. I wanted to grab 1 or 2 things but with his knowledge he sold me on other stuff in a good way. I still stayed within my budget and he told me these won't disappoint. Overall will be my go to spot now! Also- they have smoke bombs for photos and gender reveals which he mentioned. A lot of cool variety and small to large fireworks. Been here a few times. Very big selection of fireworks. Help from staff is hit or miss. Some were more welcoming and helpful than others. Prices are very good plus the sales they have on certain products makes it even better. Don't go too close to big holidays or there won't be any sales. Previous years when I bought their fireworks, no issues. They went off as they should but this year was different. I bought a case of ghost candle that had issues of either shot up too low or exploded inside the tube. Out of 100 candles, probably 75 candles had this issue of 1-2 shots not going up high enough and about 5 candles had shots explode inside the tube. Also bought the bonsai finale case that came with 2 box. One box had an explosion and blew out the side. This will probably be the last year I buy fireworks from here. read more
