Latino older man refused us because he said they wanted to go home, they locked the doors ! so we went over to red Apple they are 24 hrs they missed out on thousands because they turned us away ! I ordered a case of the Goliath mortars and they were faulty. I have not been able to get in contact with anyone to report it. the mortar would pop out of the canister maybe 3-5 ft then explode. I came 2 times within the last month and the service was terrible I had to wait over 1 hour and a half before them to tell me half of my order wasn't even at that lot !! If I didn't speak up we would have waited even longer for our order and for them to just make us wait for another truck to arrive. And when mentioned about inconveniences they get upset ? But they demand a tip. They threw and dropped our boxes some of our boxes were ripped ! My boyfriend & I are loyal customers here for the past 3 years and the last 2 years have been a terrible !! Like every year Area 51 is the place to go.. they always have the best pricing on family packs and canister shells... The only issue is that o er the last few years it seams that Area 51 does not want to sell some of their top cake cases to lower wholesale customers... for example this year I wanted to buy the deadly dozen and couldn't... while loading my wholesale order another customer who arrived after me pulled into the far side and very back of the yard to load 2 whole pallets about 6-7 feet high of deadly dozen cases... I despise going to red apple but every year the hiding of cases of cakes forced me to go their and shop with the competitor and the little Doug as they are the only ones that carry the better brothers cake assortments.. every year that's 10k of my business that I try to give to alien but instead have to go to the SOUR APPLE.. besides that issue shopping at Area 51 is always great with the best prices in town.. read more

BEST fireworks in town, The first time we went we just browsed and we thought it was cool but no i was wrong it's the best. We went recently for the 4th of July and there 50% sell was extremely good the lady that helped us was very kind and helped us run our show. At this point I was already blown away (no pun intended) but then I saw it I couldn't help it but there merch was the most beautiful shirts I have ever seen so you know I had to buy a shirt. But then disaster struck we went over budget but then when we were most definitely desperate we found out about there membership so we signed up. And guess how much we saved 10$ nope 30$ nope ‍ 40$!!! and we also got a free gift which was a nice small mortar very cool. Went here for the first time on Tuesday 10/26/2021 to get stuff for Halloween. Decent selection of products that the other fireworks stores in the area don't carry, but I'm not a fan of the buy one get two free "deal." I think it just gets you to spend more money. Especially since their B1G2 prices are higher than the ones at Blackjack Fireworks who do the same thing. Saw a couple of items that I was interested in and would've liked to have gotten but didn't. I'd rather not have to buy three of them, or one and two other things I only somewhat liked in order to get just the one. Checked out what was available at the time for wholesale in the back. Nothing stood out for me. Only ended up getting three horror movie themed cakes I thought were perfect for Halloween since their B1G2 price was less than $100. Employees were friendly and helpful and even liked and responded to my comments on Facebook. I'll most likely go back and have another closer look at their inventory. I passed over the Light Entertainment 5" neon canister shells by Brothers Pyrotechnics and now regret not getting them. I'll definitely pick those up the next time I'm in town. read more

We arrived at 10:12am and the line was about 40 people long. We figured that it would move fast as they said they opened at 10am. We made it to the inside of the store at 3:30 pm and to go to the warehouse (back area) we had to wait for another hour or so. During this time, the woman at the front, let someone come in without waiting as she received a $20 tip from the customer. Then, the employees allowed a couple to cut in line and come in the store. Everyone waiting was upset and verbally told the employees that it was unfair- non the less the couple was able to stay without any trouble. Some of the employees were unsympathetic of the people waiting outside in the 90+ degree weather for 4 plus hours. The employees were rolling their eyes and scoffing at customers questions. In addition to the long wait, I saw up to 3 workers in a cube to help out one customer. I would think that the ladies working would be trying to speed the process instead of slowing it down. All in all we were able to get most of the items we came for but definitely not worth the 11 hours we have to wait to get them. We arrived at 10:12 am and left at 9:30 pm read more

Of all the fireworks stores in pahrump, Area 51 has the best wholesale pricing. With prices increasing everywhere, it's nice to know they aren't super price gouging here. 3 long ass hours in the sun just for em to take their sweet ass time to mess up. Most of the workers are just talking/messing around and would take forever just to load up 1 car. They apparently accidentally undercharged everyone for some of the items and had everyone go back in to either pay the difference or get refund. Go to Red Apple read more

This place has a pretty good selection, lots of brands to choose from as well as their own line of fireworks. Wholesale is usually how i purchase, staff is helpful although I hate the fact that they don't list prices for wholesale items unless it's on sale. Theu have a tiered pricing system, best prices after you spend $10,000 . Prices could be better, seems like they have raised them recently because I remember getting better prices on certain products. Checkout and pickup is fast compared to other retailers in the area. Nye county now requires you to purchase a "permit" for $5 which is just a shakedown but what can you do? We have come here a couple of times to buy fireworks and there usually is a buy one get one or buy one get two free sale. The staff have always been friendly to us. But my biggest complaint is we have been there a couple of times and not once did anyone explain the wholesale area in the back. Where the public can buy, it's just in bulk. This last time when we checked out we were told about the wholesale area AFTER we bought the fireworks. We left what we bought in the front and went to check it out. Found out what we paid for, we could have received double the amount of what we got. So we asked if we could return what we bought b/c it had not left the store with the items. And we wanted to go to the wholesale area and buy. We were told there were no returns. And maybe next time we would have to just go back there and buy. There was one young lady that was going to at least ask for us but her manager was busy and there was no one else to ask. I appreciated her efforts but no one else made the effort to make us feel any better. Wow, totally made us feel like they were pulling something over on us. Why wouldn't they explain to us about how the wholesale part worked. And then refuse to return the items that hadn't even left the store!! Not sure if we will be back. Place felt shady. read more

Checking out takes so long. I came in here to get a few items i couldn't find elsewhere. And I was in line for so long. Their pricing is also weird. Some item are buy one, get one free, some are buy two, get one free... You have to look at the color of the price tag. It was annoying to say the least to have to find a product and then have to find the sale sign to see what deal your item fell under. That is probably why it takes so long to cash out. The line wasn't long and it took twice as long as the larger line I was in at Phantom. The only good thing about this store was that it was less crowded. It's more expensive though so that's probably why it was not as busy. read more
