This donation center always has the kindest employees helping those with their drive-through donations. You do not even have to get out of your vehicle! Most recently, the young man working there noticed the "dog mom" stickers on my vehicle and offered me a bag of (sealed) Bark dog treats for my fur babies as a thank you. This young man is always very kind, but I was still impressed that he noticed the stickers when I did not have my dogs with me. I was truly touched by the "random act of kindness." We called to have item's picked up. One of the items is a Christmas tree. They picked up some of the stuff but left the tree. The recorded message states that they take decorative items and as long as one person can pick it up they will take it. I have done a few pick ups with no issue and have also done a few drop offs. I love that I can specify a charity to support if I want to. It is also a good way to ensure my clothes with holes or not donation condition are recycled as I don't know of other ways to recycle clothing that is this convenient. read more

We had a donation for pick up. I got a call at almost 6pm saying they aren't coming. We are expecting a storm. Everything would have been ruined. I called the number provided to reschedule and was told to go online. There was no way to contact a human being. Very disappointed. read more

I phoned on January 24 to schedule a pick up for many boxes of items. I was told to place everything on the porch by 8AM the following Tuesday and it would be picked up by 5 PM. By 2PM the day of the scheduled pick up, everything was still on the porch. I called to confirm that the items would definitely be picked up. Oh, nope! They had NO RECORD of any pick up being scheduled. Nothing to be done unless I wanted to wait another week. How do they have absolutely no record of the call, the address is not in their system, nothing? This was my first interaction with this company and it will be my last. A mix up of the date might have been understandable. No record of any of it? That is unacceptable. read more

OLD REVIEW ( 4 stars) from another review site: My go to spot for donations since the day it opened. Attendants make it more convenient than dropping off at the resale store locations. So glad they started opening on Sundays! Warning: They will not accept furniture needing even the most minor repairs, even though the minor repairs didn't keep me from using it til I could afford to upgrade! This is awful when you spend the effort transporting a large heavy item. NEW UPDATE (Aug 2021) : See my old review warning about they will not take things needing minor repairs? Well, I've changed my review to 1 star because as a SHOPPER at CCA and Texas Thrift, I feel like I know the quality of items they sell. Well, after nearly 15 years of donating, I am now resolved never to go there again, which makes me sad. I recently downsized and had tons of amazing furniture. I have taken so many pieces of large furniture that were amazing and NOT DAMAGED or impaired in any way and various power-trippin' attendants made up CRAZY (and I mean CRAZY) reasons not to accept them and I suspect it was because they were heavy pieces and they simply did not want to move them. It happened with multiple items and it's not a coincidence that lighter items or smaller pieces were taken without any comments. I took time off work and at one point even rented a truck to transport the items to them. So ... I will not make that mistake again. Never going there again. And I am hyper aware (as a Texas Thrift customer as well) that many people offload JUNK or broken things. NONE of my items fit that description and were high quality items. read more

I donated on Tuesday and realized that I still had more things. so I went on the website and scheduled another pick up for today. The website allowed me to schedule for Wednesday. After working 10 hours and being a grandmother with very bad arthritis, I set a lot of things out on the front porch to donate. Some extremely heavy things. I called today to see if they were still going for them to tell me they only come on Tuesdays to my area and tried to rush me off the phone. I asked to speak to a supervisor. How is this my fault when their state allowed me to schedule a pick up. Very Very upset read more

I scheduled a pick up and had a huge pile of items to recycle with a note on it labeling it to be picked up by REcycle 2 support. The sign blew upwards in the wind (still attached). The driver walked around the mound of items on my front sidewalk and hung a post it on my door saying they are "unable to determine what needs to be piced up". They are not allowed to ring the doorbell (as I was told after I called them about it). He had to literally walk back around the huge mound of items to be picked up and left. We called less than 20 minutes afterwards and were told they were not in the area any longer. Now we have to carry everything back in and now put in the trash. TERRIBLE customer service. I will never use them again. read more

Dropped off items yesterday for the first time. Very impressed. Place is very clean, nice covered area to pull right up to the door. Young man was out and ready to get my box of kitchen items out of the vehicle almost before I was! He was be very neat in appearance and polite. I'll definately be back with all of my items. read more

This is a great place to drop off your unwanted items. They are fast and friendly and are now all digital to take another step towards saving the planet. They have a covered drive thru and come to your vehicle to help you unload. I highly suggest this place. read more
