This is a recycle center with a service attitude! We came to redeem California Redemption Value cans and plastic. The line was short, the employees were friendly and helped us figure out a system new to us. Prices were competitive. We came here because the recycle center in Santa Maria had a long line, the one on the Mesa was closed, and this one was open closer to home. Will definitely come here next time! read more

Great place for bulk recycling, the staff is efficient and always super polite and helpful. Minus one star for being closed a few times when their posted hours say they should be open, so if you're venturing from far away maybe call ahead of time. read more

Horrible experience. First we couldn't find it then when we did at noon they were closed because they had no money for the recycles that came in. I'm serious like what kind of recycle place doesn't have money to give for the recycles to come in? I'd give it less than 1 star if I could. read more

They shorted me at least $10. They start weighing while you are still unloading and they have 3 guys working so you never get a chance to see how much their scale says. I weighed everything before I went there and they tell me it was 7lbs less than what I had weighed it at. I told him that it was short n he said "ok let me run the numbers again" and then said a new number which was still 5lbs short. By then all my recycles were already out of the bins and added to a bigger pile so it's not like I could have them weigh it again. This is a common tactic they use to get extra money in their pocket. Its only $10 so it's not worth calling the cops or anything but still sucks that they do you dirty even when you call them out on it. Go elsewhere or bring someone else to watch them while you unload read more

If you can You should Weigh your cans before you go!!! I used to go there but I weigh my can before I went the last time( because I was totally shorted ) Anyway, sure enough they said it weighed 14.7 But it was actually it was 18.4!!! I just left and reported the discrepancy I've also been handed money and then when I stick it in my pocket when I look at it later, it's five dollars short so I wouldn't go here unless you weigh your stuff and accurately and count your change before you leave!!! I don't believe all 5 star reviews because it's not likely true. read more

Excellent staff and customer service but I only get every other Saturday off as I work 6 days straight in medical field to fill up car for an hour to find them not open as advertised. The staff are nice and professional but the hours are obviously inconsistent read more

Enter with your load in one end of the driveway and exit through the other, the circular processing is fast and efficient . Note ...having your load pre-sorted helps everyone. I drive from SLO to 101 Recycle in Oceano because they are able to recycle all CA crv stuff that should be kept out of the landfill. I don't worry about them shorting me because I just turn in my recyclables and don't take the money. It's too bad that SLO has closed down all of the recyclers except for some small guy in Los Osos. The only place to recycle cans in the 5 cities. However, posted hours vary everyday and you never know when it will be closed. I drove over there and the sign said hand writing 1/2 day on Wednesday, but google, yelp and everywhere else wrote that Wednesday they were open ALL DAY. Give me a break! If you have posted hours keep them. If you are not going to be there, update yelp and google at least so the no one is disapointed. read more

Located off front street behind the Mexican restaurant this recycling center is bare bones basic but staffed by two guys who go above and beyond! As soon as you pull in they'll bring you recycling bins to use as you sort plastic, glass and aluminum- then they'll quickly and efficiently weigh them,calculate your refund and hand it over a after you provide your name. The staff are so kind and and appreciate any tips you can give. Glad to have this resource since the state makes it so hard to recycle and obtain deposit refunds. read more

Arrived today at 11:50 and they were closed!! Drive 25 minutes to get here now have to take my recycling all the way home then back to town for my next errand., which is a load of hay. This was a terrible inconvenience! Not the first time this had happened! read more

It may fill up quick depending what time you get there and also wait time can be short depending.... but it's smart to say it's best to sort your recycling before you get there cause you won't know what your walking into in terms of what can be recycled at the time if there starting to get full but worth it since it is one of the last places in the area that does Cash in Recycling.... read more
