What a unique place. First up Jeff is the owner and you'll probably meet him if you stop by. He is legit a great person. His company donates bikes to kids and police departments. They donated over 2000 helmets to kids in Broward. Back to the bike basics here. Plenty of bikes on hand. Used and brand new. Jeff will give some suggestions on bikes but he won't force you into anything that one fit you. If you get a bike and outgrown it or just want to upgrade this this is a great place too. You are more than welcome to give the bikes a decent test ride. They are open on Saturdays, 9 to 3 PM. Make sure to come early on the Saturday as they get busy by noon. Free helmets with any bike purchase. They also sell bike locks, baskets and other accessories. I will definitely go out of my way to come back here. I came in to BRX last week frustrated with a recurring flat tire and left impressed by the level of enthusiasm and excellence provided by Austin. As I suspected the tire needed to be replaced and after admitting to Austin that I hadn't changed a flat in many years he offered to walk me through the whole process as he replaced the tire and tube which I greatly appreciate. When Austin learned that I was new in town he suggested a Facebook group where I can find training rides as I'm just getting back in the sport after many years. Awesome place ! It's a nonprofit. When I first came, we looked around and Jeff pointed us in the right direction. The guy was very confident and you knew he was trying to get you a perfect bike for your needs! I trusted Jeff and felt like he was really helping me with a swift and fast service. He is very knowledgeable ! I then came for an appointment to pick up the bike after it was cleaned up and they have nice volunteers there that help out too. I really like that about this organization too. Jeff also gave us some nice lights for my bike and my girlfriend's bike and two combination u-locks. I got a new helmet for free too! All of this was such a bargain and I rode off with my new bike and my girlfriend rode off with her existing bike! She had to get her chain replaced. They couldn't have been more friendly, knowledgeable or helpful. I ended up with a classic old-new Raleigh bicycle that rides great and will likely outlive me - for a fraction of the cost of a new one. They just don't build them like that anymore.
