Alexis is on top of it to an extent I've never experienced before. She's extremely knowledgeable and what she doesn't know she will find out - in a heartbeat. She makes herself available to her patients and their families, giving them a comfort and security. She is collaborative in her approach which I find very important, since aging and decline brings constant change that needs to be managed. My mother and I are very appreciative for her capability, compassion and loving care over these years.

To say that she has been a godsend isn't an overstatement. She is the most competent, compassionate and thorough health-care professional I have ever had the pleasure to work with. She cared for my father as if he were family, and constantly kept my brother and me apprised of his changing health issues. When we had questions or concerns, she always responded promptly, even when she was out of the office or home with her baby. Her dedication to her patients is admirable indeed! I know my father, brother and I will miss her now that she is no longer with Hampton Health. And I have no doubt that future patients will be equally fortunate to have Alexis advocate and care for them.

Her father and I were overwhelmed with all the programs out there and didn't know where to start. Enter Jennifer. She spoke to us about our daughter's needs and struggles, along with our thoughts on what kind of program might be a good fit. Then she coordinated with the Wilderness program to speak to our daughter directly, asking similar questions, to really get a feel for where she's at and what she could handle after. Jennifer asked a lot of thoughtful questions to get a complete picture of our daughter and her challenges. Jennifer then hit the ground running and used the info collected and researched what programs could potentially work. She presented three options, all different and each with their own strengths. She set up calls with each of the programs so we (including our daughter) could talk to them and get a feel for what they could offer. The program we decided on (where my daughter is currently) has been wonderful. Just a few weeks ago my daughter said, "Mom! I haven't felt this good in years! I'm excited and hopeful about my future. I'm proud of all the work I've done. I'm ready to do the adulting things, even though they still scare me." I cried joyful tears. Jennifer was instrumental in helping us navigate the seemingly impossible and daunting sea of mental and behavioral health programs. Thanks to her, we are on a great course. I highly recommend Jennifer and her services.

We met with Jennifer on a Friday and on Sunday, were still mulling over options, it was determined that our child needed immediate help. We texted Jennifer and she leapt into action. Within a few hours she had options for us and guided us every step of the way. She has continued to be there for us through two subsequent placements, and always keeps the kids she's charged with helping at the center of her focus. She has been on weekly calls with us at for the first few months of our child's treatment and continually assesses the programs they're in for fit. She is extremely knowledgeable about and well-connected with programs all over the country and has been a tremendous resource for us. We absolutely could not have figured out this complicated process on our own. Having Jennifer by our side has been truly lifesaving for our child. We cannot thank her enough or recommend her more highly.

Bayside Marin is an excellent treatment center, I'd rate it #2 in northern California…read more At first, I didn't want to go here, mainly because of negative reviews and hearsay from an acquaintance, and corporate ownership. But I quickly changed my mind. I came here devestated by a very traumatic year of my life, in as much of a mental health crisis as I was in a substance one. Throughout the length of my stay, I was treated with understanding, patience and compassion. The bulk of their program is cookie cutter evidence based, but high quality. The employees at Bayside really care about their work, and their clients, and because of this it didn't have a corporate feel, even though they're owned by Acadia. What made this stay extra special for me was the therapy and one on one conversations I had with staff. I had the honor and privilege of working with the best therapist I've ever seen. When there's a true match with therapy it can be magical, spiritual. I have transformed into a better version of myself because of the one on one work with my therapist, whose intelligence, wit, patience, and compassion helped me to rise above and shine, despite facing some extremely challenging triggers in residential this time. When you can't fully care about yourself, sometimes you can borrow someone else's faith in you until you're able to care about yourself a little more. By the end of my stay, I felt more confident and centered than I had in a long time. I also wanted to say, the tech supervisor helped guide me psychologically and spiritually as I faced various challenges at Bayside, and helped revive my interest in spirituality, meditation and awakening. I had the best spiritual and psychological support I could have asked for, which I thought would be impossible after being at Olympia House in 2022. (Both are good rehabs with their unique strengths and weaknesses. I learned a lot at both, but they're not directly comparable, OH is a little more unique in terms of approach and programming. Bayside was extra meaningful because of the particular therapist I worked with, the behavioral technician supervisor I mentioned and the particular clients I bonded with. They actually listen to client feedback and I watched them make numerous improvements over the three months I was there. With that said, there is room for further improvement. Clients are shuffled over to the main campus from detox with very little explanation of where to go and when, which leaves freshly detoxed clients confused, angry, and feeling disrespected. I've been told they're working on fixing this problem. Scheduling glitches do happen, but that's true of any medium or large rehab. They do their best. And also, sometimes communication can be a little complicated between departments. No place is perfect. Gorgeous campus. Food was great. I was told this was a rehab for rich people who valued aesthetics over content, but that's not what I found here. They have some incredible talent working for them and client socioeconomic backgrounds are mixed. 2026 update: I've had to return to Bayside and things have only gotten better, taking my review from 4 stars to 5. A lot of mediocre therapists have left, replaced by excellent ones, and they have made subtle but noticable improvements to the programming. I'm SO grateful for Bayside Marin, one of the finest treatment centers in northern California and perhaps the country. Last. I would encourage people, strongly, to ask to change their therapist if the initial assignment isn't a match. I did, and it made all the difference in my stay.

The excellence of care, coupled with the seasoned staff, care givers, medical staff, therapists, maintenance, were top notch! And the food they provided, I left a good 10-15 pounds heavier. You will not go hungry! Swimming, nature walks, yoga, art therapy, meditation, even karaoke, etc were an added bonus. I feel so grateful to have spent 4 months at this amazingly, beautiful, serene community. And it doesn't stop when you "graduate". They provide an alumni meeting weekly to follow up, where you can keep in touch with other clients you had grown & started a road to recovery with. I feel blessed I was able to receive the help that changed my life. Thank you BSM Blessings, Kristi K.

The ED does some things very well: a dedicated nurse and doctor who triage each patient together; very friendly security guards who are helpful; polite and helpful registration people; and a separate room for families or individuals who need a dark, quiet place to wait. What is evident is: everything is resource constrained from parking to staff to chairs, to rooms, beds, doctors, nurses, etc. Some people seem to be here as if it's a convenient place to meet after tennis with the added benefit that they can get a shot for pain management. Others are splayed across sofas groaning and have been for the three hours we have been waiting for my husband to be seen for a stroke. My rating would be lower if everyone working in the ED wasn't hustling and very pleasant. They are all extremely dedicated to helping others. But, it is frustrating that resources are choked at some point and when your loved one needs emergency care that bottle neck is a huge problem.
