Got a call back from her and she told me she had to look into how to get me scheduled in, but that she would call back soon. She didn't call me back. I called to follow up with her and she said that she was going to look into it that day and that I should receive a call from her in the next 1-2 days to get scheduled. Over a week later and NO CALL back. I called them back again and it has been a few days and she has still not returned my calls. I had been waiting to book an appointment with them and they wasted my time for over 2 WEEKS. I wanted to see Dr. Aldava because of the great yelp reviews he received, but the lack of professionalism and poor service by his assistant has completely turned me off from this place. I can't speak to how Dr. Aldava is as a clinician, but his assistant is horribly incompetent. Dr. Aldava, if you care about getting new patients and not WASTING THEIR TIME I suggest you get a new assistant immediately. If you don't care then keep doing what you're doing. I wouldn't recommend this office to anyone.

I agree that the program was very disorganized and is ironically not mental health issue friendly…read more One of the therapists announced during the opening meeting that there was a designated smoking area. I took a break to smoke and told my therapist about it. Next thing I know they kicked me out. I did not even smoke in the building, and I had a medical card. Me and my big mouth. What a waste of money. They literally said, "we don't heal trauma". They also don't have individual therapy. The "therapists" just listen to patients vent for a couple of minutes to other patients in a room during the group sessions. The patients are the only ones that actually provide advice/help. I will say that some of the worksheets they handed out were pretty helpful, but I guarantee they can be found online. Many of the lessons can be awfully repetitive, but I guess they want to instill the skills in your mind. I literally had to advocate for women to have the right to use the bathroom during the sessions. It's high-school all over again. Even if you are on your period some of the therapists won't let you leave. One of the patients requested to use the bathroom on his first day and they said he could wait 30 minutes. The therapists can't even decide amongst themselves to enforce the bathroom rule. It's just a mess. While talking to my "therapist" I often felt as though I was being talked down to. Like I was a little kid or not able to understand. It was frustrating at times. These people knew I had to use Bart, Uber, and bus to arrive at the location, so they knew I was committed to the program. I was supposed to have a family meeting and they canceled it to have the psychiatrist kick me out instead. I had to travel for so long just to be kicked out. Mind you, they contacted me by phone to cancel the meeting etc. but made me travel long ways just to get shut down. I had an episode the previous day, so I thought they called the psychiatrist to check up on me. Boy was I wrong. The psychiatrist didn't even have the guts to talk to my mother and the therapist escorting me to his office made up a bs confidentiality excuse. Once I said my mother could come inside, they made up another one. These people are liars and it's scary how good they are at it. In summary, don't expect to form a relationship to any of the therapists or staff here. They are after one thing. Money. They could care less about your safety and will throw you to the curb in a second. They'll do it with a huge smile on their faces too. Evil. I suggest going elsewhere for treatment. Edit: The therapists also don't really want to listen to you and your issues. They just go through the required questions and could care less about their patients. Ok. I think I'm done now. I hope whoever is reading this has a good day.
