All this b/c his heart was breaking for all the types of people coming into his ER for opioid treatment / withdrawal . my first apt was to discuss my plan in how I was going to get off 300 mg / day of OXY basically cold turkey without ruining my life, my marriage, my job. Dr sat down with me to come up with a plan. He prescribed a handful of medications in which I was super scared yet OMG I had ZERO withdrawals.... I maybe felt a little crummy for a few hours, maybe a day and that was it..... withdrawals over! Folks... you DONT have to spend 100k on some fancy rehab. You just need a really good Dr! Here we are.... Almost two months later... weve had to tweak a few of the meds yet I'm on my way to being fully done w/ opioids and the best part is that I've never felt better - i feel strong, alert, happy, my brain is working in ways it hasnt in decades... I can't explain it but it's exciting . I feel like my brain is coming to life! I hope this helps someone out there! Whoever u are... whoever needs help... Dr Oyasu is waiting for u with open arms to help you see the light. Opioids suck! It's a never ending ticket to nowhere. At Pain to Wellness I spent $500 a month with insurance just to come in to do regular refill apt. Just think , that's $6000 back in my pocket! She always asks me about my stress levels, how my relationship is going, etc. The first doctor I had in Chicago couldn't remember that she had seen me before even though my chart was right in front of her. The second doctor I had in Chicago had such a cold bedside manner that I felt worse after I saw her. Dr. Fry is just right for me -- she has the kind of caring, competent professionalism that I need from a doctor. She's also affiliated with Rush Medical Center, so when I need tests requiring big equipment, I can go there.

Posted on google but their office or google filtered. Been…read moregoing there about 5 years and Dr Lightfoot seems nice enough, but it's hard to tell because he spends about 8 minutes with me. My last visit in that time, I asked 2 questions that he answered within 30 seconds and I got a bill for each question I asked. Is this normal? Well after calling the office and hearing them say they'd check and call back because it "seems odd", I still don't know because this office NEVER calls back. I'm serious- they never call when they say they will. Bloodwork- "We'll call when we get it back" NOPE. I call weeks later. Sent for an x ray- twice... "We'll call as soon as we get the results". NOPE. I have to chase them weeks later, leave a message, they have to talk to someone, then they call with a vague, "it's normal"... and no alternative discussion or suggestions for the issues that sent me to the x ray in the first place.
