My guy and I did the market tour and the pyramid tour so it was a long day. I did this tour last…read moreyear and it was great. Everything went seamless. However, this time was like a low budget tour. There was two tour guides instead of one tour it was split up in two tours. Then the guides were knowledgeable but the food portion was much less and it felt like they were trying to cut corners. Breakfast was the same tamales shared between 6 people. Lunch was spot on a market with tacos that you make your own. There just wasn't a bunch. The next tour we were put in a Uber to going to the next tour. The 2nd tour was much better in terms as the food at the families house. I probably won't take take a tour with them. I didn't feel like it was worth the amount spent. The idea is great the execution was lacking and less from my previous experience.

I'm from Mexico City and a friend from LA invited me to join her for two of Mexico City Urban…read moreAdventures' tours and I have to say they're great! There's absolutely nothing negative to say about them. The first one was on Friday night (Mexican Night Out) which started in a downtown bar, then we went to Garibaldi Plaza to the Museum of Tequila and Mezcal, even me, a local, learned a lot of the process and differences between tequila and mezcal. Then they gave us samples of each one while a very talented woman sang to us. After that we headed to the plaza for a serenade from an authentic Mariachi band. Finally in that plaza, we visited the Tenampa, a classic Cantina where a lot of the best Mexican singers used to hang, drink, and write their music. After a couple of drinks, music, and food, we were ready to head to the Lucha Libre. It was really fun and took all my stress out. The second tour was Beyond Mexico, Teotihuacan. It started at noon in the Zocalo as a meeting point. They drove us to Teotihuacán straight to the archaeological site where they explained us how Teotihuacan started, functioned, and finally ended. We visited the two temples, the Moon and the Sun's, and took us all the way to the top while explaining their way of living and the symbolism of every image we saw. After that they took us to a local family's house to learn more about the process of the agave plant, all their uses, and they gave us samples of pulque, mezcal, tequila, liqueur, and typical candies. They showed us the process of their handicrafts. Then we went to another local's house for a typical family dinner, delicious, as a born and raised Mexico City's citizen, it was really authentic. Either you are a local or a tourist, these tours are a must. They're fun, authentic, well organized, educational, and a great experience. And the tour guys were amazing, Ro and Julio.
