After spending 15 years researching my parent's ancestry, the low hanging fruit of what was easy to collect and determine who was who was done quickly. I was fortunate to collect data from others that was already determined. Early on I hit two road blocks I finally had to tackle. The two problems I had were a single parent family (missing father) and tracing back the immigration into another country in the same family. Having done a Y-DNA test to help determine my true surname, it helped get closer to who the missing father was in the family. I hired Record Click (RC) to help in my understanding with the interpretation of the DNA results and help with the triangulation process of identifying what family and individual in that family was the missing father. In order to accomplish my goals it requires OTHER DNA testers to communicate data what they know with me. RC pointed me in the right direction until I can get more info from others. RC did what is challenging to do concerning this type of work for me. They researched in a methodical manner AND in organized fashion. When hiring them, provide everything you know at one time in the beginning since time is money. RC identified a family that has five men that could be the missing father. I simply cannot say enough how AMAZING this experience has been! I'm not one to typically write reviews but had to in this case. My father is turning 80 and I really wanted to surprise him with a family tree. We only know roughly where his father and mother came from in Italy. I spent HOURS trying to research on my own and got nowhere! Took a chance with RecordClick and it is AMAZING what they found!! A few times our consultant hit road blocks due to privacy laws, gave me a link to order a death certificate, and was able to get even farther! My experience with Record Click was exceptional and mainly because I am on the trail of my third great grandfather who has been eluding me for a very long time. Love RecordClick. Megan has been so professional and provides complete reports and the back-up records to go with them. On my Italian grandmother's side of the family, she was able to go back many generations on both of her parents. On my Italian grandfather's side, she ran into a dead-end. It turns out his father, Graziano Menante, was a "foundling" - a child abandoned at birth. A foundling was given a made-up name by the town clerk. At this point a DNA search is the only option. After several years of trying to decipher my DNA results, within no time Record Click researcher Olivia was able to not only figure out my DNA, found my paternal line and surname and father! They exceeded all my goals when first asked at the beginning of my request.
