This is just a short walk from the train station. The room was v spacious, super comfortable, has a large bathtub with very hot water- perfect after a day of biking and white water rafting. And the breakfast changes daily and super delicious! They also provide trail bars, fruits , yogurt and assortment of cakes, breads, cereals and even almond milk. Amanda makes the perfect well-timed hard-boiled eggs! She also went the extra miles to help us in our trip. We were so comfortable I didn't want to leave! She surprises guests with different types of baked goods every day, which sweetens the experience of staying here both literally and figuratively. The room is very private with a separate entrance. Decorations are detailed, unique, and western, and the ambiance reminded me of my childhood, which was very heartwarming. Lastly, there are two riding horses on the property, and they are playful, gentle and totally enhance the experience. This vacation spot provides the ultimate experience of nature and tranquility. It is so calming and peaceful with views of wild life and their beautiful horses right out the front door. The bed is wonderful, everything you need is included and Linda makes sure you have a clean cabin to come home to each night. The service is unbelievable. They truly treat you like family. It's a bit of a drive from the town of Whitefish, but it's the perfect distance. It's also located very close to beautiful lakes and hiking trails. It's a short drive to Glacier, which is perfect because you are able to get away from the crowds. Love, love, love this home.

We rented the whole place and had a wonderful wedding last weekend. We wanted a relaxed setting for all of our guests and it was perfect. We had guests of almost 70 people with no issues and every employee was helpful and friendly. The cabins were clean but need a little bit of maintenance. I guess I could have taken a 1/2 star away for this but it didn't impact the enjoyment. It was great to have the separated cabins and a variety of cabins to pick from. The Snowberry Center was decorated beautifully and I could not have asked for a better place for a Glacier Park wedding setting. The Airport and Costco was just a few minutes away, so everything was easily accessible. I highly recommend and plan to return for anniversaries.

When we tried to cancel, we were told that we could not do so, because of their 10 days cancellation policy for that time period!! No matter how lovely this place appears to be, I will not recommend it to anyone, and will never stay there again!!!

Our room had a balcony river view so we could sit outside and drink the free coffee, watching the wildlife along the river (deer every night including a fawn! and I even saw beavers building a dam one day! plus ducks!). They even serve up a homecooked breakfast every morning (tasty quiche varieties and the best waffles you'll ever have - recommend selecting the bananas/chocolate chips/nuts option). The inn will even let you check out bear spray at the front desk for when you head into Glacier National Park. The only small thing I'd change - there are signs in the room that you can hang on your door that say "service please," and we tried doing that for a few days without success before asking for service at the front desk. If you're staying for a week, make sure to stop by the front desk and ask for someone to clean the room a few times, since it's not automatic.

We went a little crazy in the gift shop because Brooke, the proprietor, purchased such cute things! We stayed in the crescent moon cabin across from the horses pasture which was very peaceful to watch. The small ponds, fountains, how the grounds are lit up at night makes it even more Magical.

The spot may be a tad bit hard to spot from the main road, so I would highly recommend using some…read moresort of app to navigate to the location. On arrival, there's a stretch of gravel road which should take you directly to the cabins where you'll stay. I'm not sure if the cabins are all consistently the same size, but the the one I stayed at was big enough for a queen-sized bed and a small raised table, and a small fridge with a microwave on top. There's a small TV in the room as well that I didn't really use. There's an adjoining bathroom to the main sleeping/living area (they're really all one room) that feels pretty spacious. The bathroom definitely doesn't feel cramped. Outside the cabins, there's a bit of space to walk around and a fire pit that maybe be used. It can be rather nice in the evenings. There are also grills that may be used outside should you choose to grill which is a nice touch. In the information sheets that management provides to the guests within the cabins, they ask that customers clean the fire pits and the grills after use. I do think that there should be more explicit details from staff as to how to clean the fire pit, since there really weren't many tools to clean the pit from what I could see when I walked by and not everyone is familiar with how to clean a fire pit. So the pros first: I did feel like the bed was super comfortable. Stays away from home doesn't always yield a comfortable sleeping spot even in super fancy venues, so this was definitely a highlight. The space felt very clean, and there really wasn't a feeling of discomfort with that generally. The bathroom worked fine and no complaints about the amenities. Wifi was pretty decent which can be pretty important for most folks. The lighting in the cabin was pretty great as well. There are windows from three separate directions that can provide natural lighting, should you choose to open the curtains. The cons: There isn't too much of space to do anything else other than to sleep. The little table which is connected to the wall does offer some work space, but it isn't too much. The chairs also doesn't have backs to them, so it can be a bit uncomfortable to do work at that space for any extended periods of time. But I guess this is just something to be aware of when making the booking and factoring that into your decision. The big complaint for this particular space was the lack of blankets that came automatically with the room. It can get pretty cold in this area, depending on the season, and if you're not super used to the cold, it may be a bit cool. in the space in the evening especially once the sun sets. There is a heater in the room, but we didn't feel like it was quite strong enough to last the entire evening without additional blankets. I went to sleep in a hoodie and felt fine, but probably would have had a rougher time without the hoodie. Overall, I think I'd be back at the right price point. I wouldn't say I'd definitely be back, but I wouldn't mind checking the pricing when returning to the area to see if it would be a good place to stay again.

Let me start off with the good: Obviously, 5 stars for the…read morelocation. Easy access to many epic trailheads. A moose and her baby were in our campground three times during our seven night stay. How cool is that!?! Now, the not so good: 1.) You'll have to be at your computer right when reservations open frantically pushing the *book now* button and praying it ends up in your cart. Otherwise, you'll be checking recreation.gov every spare second you get and hope you time it right and snag a cancellation. 2.) Major road construction to get to MG, so expect delays. A lot of the road is still gravel/unpaved/potholes so you'll have to go slow! Especially if you're towing a trailer or have a RV. 3.) It's bear country! The rangers patrol like crazy and will cite you! Every time you leave your campground, you need to pack up anything that can attract bears (camp stoves, coolers, water bottles, tablecloths). So at least twice a day, we packed up almost everything. Kind of annoying, but understandable. 4.) Designated generator hours three times a day, in the middle of the day. The sites range from shady to sunny to semi-shady. Our site (110) was semi-shady, so we had to sit around in the middle of the day to make sure that our refrigerator had enough power so our food wouldn't spoil during the heatwave. That obviously limited us on our daily activities. 5. ) Over our seven night stay, my friends were able to piecemeal three separate reservations at three different campsites. At check-in, the ranger said the only way we could potentially check cancellations and extend the stay at a site was by going on recreation.gov. Not helpful at all considering there is ZERO cell service for any of the carriers there. (Other camp hosts at other NPs check their printout list, no problem.) 6.) Lastly, it was really sad to see that a lot of reserved sites were no-shows. Given how difficult it is to secure a spot, this was so not cool. Some other miscellaneous items: 1.) Vicious bugs everywhere! We had two Thermacells, citronella wristbands and doused ourselves liberally with bug spray and still managed to get eaten alive. Yes, I know this is the great outdoors. 2.) For 2021: Reservations for MG campground do not admit you to the going to the sun road! This was very unclear! Our neighbors told us the park changed this last minute, as we also were under the impression that we had access via our reservation. Because we didn't have internet access to even get a shot at reserving last minute tickets, we had to wake up at 4am to get through the gate before 6am. Needless to say, we could only swing this one day, which was a huge bummer because a lot of the trails and lakes I was planning on checking out are located in GTSR. We have visited and camped at over 20 national parks and this was the poorest run one by far.
