Here's the drill when you find yourself in Recession Coffee: You pay what you want. Yes. In a world where coffee has become expensive, Recession Coffee comes into our lives to bless us with coffee that's within your desired budget.
Recession Coffee shares its space with Digital Walker at the third floor of Eastwood Mall. It's across the escalators so you won't miss it!
I had the chance to talk with the barista today and she told me that I can pay with whatever I want from P50-200 and up. I had to tell her at the counter after telling her my order, "Why do you have to make this hard?" In all seriousness, I wanted to pay 50 bucks for a cup of latté just so I could get away with it. "But she's making an effort to make me possible good coffee," was one of the many arguments I had to make in my mind. I settled for P100. Each price point has an equivalent quip. For P100, my label was: You're the water to our coffee beans!
I'd definitely come back to Recession whenever I'm in Eastwood. Just because the baristas are friendly and my coffee was also served at the right temperature. I have a thing for coffee temperatures. Ha ha!
Also, food and pastries are not on a "pay-what-you-want" basis. They sell some goodies from Scout's Honor. Price range from P100-P140. It's still not bad! read more
